Seeing which level or club Dolan is playing at next really is the least of our concerns and it's not some kind of win for Rovers if, say, he only joins a mid-table Championship club. The problem is we're losing - for nothing - a player who, while he blows hot and cold like almost everyone else, has been a regular here for years and is a proven Championship performer. Good on him for saying he wants to test himself at a higher level. It's a shame that thinking isn't aligned throughout the club. In fact if I had to bet on who'd kick a ball in the Premier League first between Dolan and a Venky-owned Rovers I know where my money would be going.....

Correct. But I’d still rather be at Ewood than on here moaning about the ref every week. -

To be fair I’ll still be paying less than you buying an individual ticket most games. But the thought of giving any money at all to Waggot, Pasha and Venky’s is a horrible one. -

Travis has posted an Instagram story saying it's disappointing news about Les Field (manager's PA and first team player liaison) and that she'll be missed. She's always seemed very popular with players going off their social media. People like her being made redundant while Waggott gets a big pay rise. Feel ill at the fact that I've renewed my season ticket. -

I wonder what D Fletcher thinks about Sky and kick off times these days…. -
Correct! It’s absolutely crazy.

Renewing now. The thought of giving Waggot, Pasha and Venky's any money at all makes me ill but at least they'll be getting less from me than recent seasons as I'm changing seats - this means a new season ticket card. So there are three options: - Digital season ticket (no extra fee) - Collect physical season ticket (£20 extra) - Post new season card (£22.50 extra) What in god's name are they smoking down there?

Crikey, never thought of it like that before 🙁 awful. When will it ever end...... -
Hirst scored 7 goals for a team that got automatically promoted last season and has scored 3 (2 in the FA Cup) this season, he's hardly ripping it up.

At which point were we in a relegation battle under JDT? We were in relegation form when he left, but he'd long clocked out by then. Personally I'd look at his entire 18 months in charge rather than last few games when he couldn't wait to get out of here......
-
You fear they may go for somebody who managed in the Champions League final last season? I don’t think you need to worry - you don’t go from a CL final with Dortmund to working for Waggott and Pasha a few months later.

Exeter at home would be lovely. Win that and we're one win away from the QF.

Pretty much just a Mowbray thing that! Before him (QF in 12/13, 14/15 and fifth round 15/16, 16/17) and after (QF 22/23 and fifth round last season) we've actually got a decent recent record even since that lot darkened our doors. -
Come on Rovers!!
-
We'd lost three out of the previous 16 league games before that game, or four out of 20 all comps. Eustace has said he hopes to be back towards the end of the month.

JDT saying that Travis was "one of the more expensive boys in our group" said it all. Anything to save a few quid a week. -
Not sure we collapsed. We only lost four games after the disaster at Rotherham in mid January. We started drawing a lot more but were unlucky not to win a couple of them at the end of the season (Coventry and Preston). We were a better side in the second half of the season than the first even if we didn't win as many games. The Leicester midweek FA Cup win followed up by beating Sheff Utd at home on the Saturday, we were outstanding in both games. Just a shame the only January addition was Sorba Thomas on loan, that season could have been the one....
-
Both things are true. We were hurtling towards the relegation zone and would have been in there within two or three more games had JDT not walked. But at the same time we hadn't been in a relegation battle, we fell from just outside the play-offs and there are far worse situations to inherit than 18th place and five points above the drop.
-
Odd. In what way did he have to deal with them? JDT did a very good job overall (note 'overall', rather than just his last few games and yes, I know he got Burnley away badly wrong) and people were angry that the club had messed him around. Our pretty poor results when Eustace came in meant people had some early doubts about him. All completely normal. Doing a great job now of course.

Really, he played a couple of excellent through balls in the first half through the eye of a needle. Class act. And even though you associate creativity more with things like through balls, he also stuck that cross right on Gueye's head. -

The Yak, scorer of our most recent Premier League goal.....god knows when the next one will be 🙁 -
Well done to the guy for refusing to name the 'manager' we had after Big Sam. And yep, the treatment Salgado and Nelsen received was a disgrace.
