Thought this was interesting analysis by a Derby County fan on Rovers team (taken from the Derby County match thread). You can see how far up the full-backs are pushing, with Johnson (4) sitting very deep. Dolan (39) was out most advanced player on average. Brereton (20) was deeper on average than JRC (24)!! It's no wonder he doesn't score many - he's not going to playing quite that deep. Rothwell and Holtby were both more advance on average.

They are paid far too much. It's one thing a Messi or a Ronaldo being paid a fortune - but when you've got average squad players on millions a year it's ridiculous. Not a chance they'd agree to take a 50% pay cut for 12 months. And why should they really?

I've watched the 5th goal about 20 times purely for the pass by Buckley. One of the best passes I've ever seen - eye of the needle kind of thing. The vision, accuracy and weighting of the pass is absolute perfection.

Raya wanted to leave after being dropped and publicly criticised by his manager - completely understandable. Raya did have/still has huge potential - he's still very young for a keeper. Definitely a mistake selling him - and I thought so at the time. Even worse was how we replaced him.

Did we miss him last year? Not with Walton doing such a superb job, no. Why wouldn't we have got £10m for him eventually?

I've not seen anything that stands out from JRC yet personally, but I'm prepared to give him time. He's like a very poor mans Paul Warhurst for me (not necessarily an insult, as I think Warhurst was very, very good but for injuries).
