I completely agree with this bit.

Were we not chasing promotion when we bought Rhodes?
-
Why would they not? There's been a few decent winners of the League 1 Player of the Year award over the years.... Dack (2018 and 2016) Ritchie (2013) Rhodes (2012) Just because he's in league 1 doesn't mean he wouldn't improve a decent Championship side.

It was a full 6 years later when we signed him. But you're right, he was awful. I might be way off with this, but I'm sure his first appearance in Rovers colours was at a reserve game at Deepdale that I went to with my dad. Seemed to remember James Beattie scoring all 4 in a 4-0 win, playing upfront with Per Pedersen. This is all from memory though. -
We'll be more likely to sign his brother on a free from BAE.
-
On the plus side, Lionel Messi's brother works in Spar at Mill Hill and he says that Messi is joining us in January.
-
Please can you point out these 6 out of 7 wins that he was a big part of? Best run I can find is 6 wins in 8 - and he only played in 4 of those.
-
They also gave the following update: October 2020 update Still at Slavia but played only six league games during 2019-20 so his progress seems to have stalled.

Can you imagine the uproar on here if he had been dropped for Gallagher? Why rest him just before the international break? -

I'm sure there is some poor quality footage of the Crewe game on Youtube and I've watched it back and wondered how he's kept half of the ones out that he did. A lot of luck involved as well. -

I remember it well! Jason Kearton with the most incredible goal keeping performance I've ever seen. We could have played all night and not scored. Was it Cramb who got the winner for them? -
..and he ended up joining Real Salt Lake City and then Bradford. I believe he's without a club now.
-
I remember some of our fans (not on here) insisting he would be a 30 goal a season striker in the Premier League, despite the fact they are very, very few and far between now.
-
Good call!!
-
Did you phone him before the 4th went in?

Thought this was interesting analysis by a Derby County fan on Rovers team (taken from the Derby County match thread). You can see how far up the full-backs are pushing, with Johnson (4) sitting very deep. Dolan (39) was out most advanced player on average. Brereton (20) was deeper on average than JRC (24)!! It's no wonder he doesn't score many - he's not going to playing quite that deep. Rothwell and Holtby were both more advance on average.
-
That's incredible depth! Good analysis.

Jason Roberts: 2011/12 - 7 goals 2010/11 - 5 goals 2009/10 - 5 goals 2008/09 - 7 goals 2007/08 - 5 goals 2006/07 - 5 goals Numbers that Brereton can only dream of ??
-
Bit harsh.
-
That can't possibly be correct.

Last season: With Dack: W9 D5 L9 Without Dack: W9 D7 L10 Not much of a difference with or without him.

Rovers vs. Wycombe - 19th Sept, 3pm

Most chances created in the Championship so far: Hamer (Coventry) - 9 in 150 minutes (one every 16.67 minutes) Clucas (Stoke) - 7 in 180 minutes (one every 25.71 minutes) Tavernier (Boro) - 6 in 179 minutes (one every 29.83 minutes) Sanchez (Birmingham) 6 in 164 minutes (one every 27.3 minutes) BUCKLEY (ROVERS) 5 in 22 minutes (one every 4.4 minutes) I don't care if it was against 10 men Wycombe - that's a staggering number of chances created. -

I've watched the 5th goal about 20 times purely for the pass by Buckley. One of the best passes I've ever seen - eye of the needle kind of thing. The vision, accuracy and weighting of the pass is absolute perfection. -
When did that happen? Even mentioning Evans in the same breath as Batty is a huge insult to Batty!!
