  1. At this stage in 2018/19 Norwich were 9 points off an automatic spot and 6 points off a play off place. Was that relevant? Promoted as Champions. At this stage in 2017/18 Fulham were 7 points off an automatic spot and 3 points off a play off place. Was that relevant? Promoted via the play offs. At this stage in 2014/15 Bournemouth were 5 points off an automatic spot and 3 points off a play off place. Was that relevant? Promoted as Champions. At this stage in 2012/13 Crystal Palace were 6 points off an automatic spot and 4 points off a play off place. Rovers were top. Was that relevant? Palace promoted via the play offs, Rovers finished 17th. At this stage in 2011/12 Reading were 11 points off an automatic spot and 7 points off a play off place. They were in the relegation zone in fact. Was that relevant? Promoted as Champions. At this stage in 2009/10 Blackpool were 7 points off an automatic spot and 4 points off a play off place. Was that relevant? Promoted via the play offs. Who was top of the Premier League after 6 games in 1994/95? Newcastle. We were 4 points behind them already. Was that relevant? You don't get a trophy for being top after 6 games. It's a good job none of those sides above gave up after 6 games I guess.
  2. Pretty much irrelevant our league position after 6 games.
  3. We've conceded 7 in 6 games. Norwich had conceded 12 in 6 at the same stage in their promotion season. There's only 2 keepers kept more clean sheets than Kaminski so far.
  4. Quite a lot of over-reactions on here as normal. Too many people seem to have extreme reactions to one result - win and we're getting promoted, lose and it's time for Mowbray to go. Worth noting that we played pretty well against a fairly expensive side. Sarr cost them around £30m - and scored twice when they hammered a Liverpool side 3-0 at home earlier this year. A side that hadn't lost a domestic league game in 14 months. There's a long way to go yet. Norwich had 5 points from their opening 6 games in 2018/19. They got 89 from their next 40 and finished 11 points above 3rd placed Leeds. I'm not saying we'll achieve that, but we should be pushing for the play-offs.
  5. They've gone 3-1 up against Bolton after 20 minutes. Assume Dunn still isn't allowed at the games?
  6. It could explain Dack scoring 1 in 9 before October (0.11 goals per game) and then 17 in 36 after that (0.47 goals per game)
  7. Could the top one be Damien Duff or David Dunn? I'd have to dig out some signed stuff I've got at home to confirm it.
  8. You keep going on about this made up fact.
  9. No - I don't think it does...... 43.9.2 The following Players do not need to be included in the Squad List to be eligible to play in League Matches: (a) in respect of Championship Clubs, any Under 21 Player (save for any Under 21 Player who is registered with the Club on a Temporary Loan Transfer); and
  10. Dolan is U21 so doesn't have to be registered?
  11. He's a winger isn't he?
  12. Elliott is an excellent signing. He reminds me of Harry Kane in one video I've seen of him.
  13. Bob Wilson the former Arsenal keeper. We've signed him as cover, just in case all our other keepers get injured.
  14. They better go for Josh King then. Good for us.
  15. I was reading FourFourTwo's predictions for the season and they've got Rovers to finish 12th. They said this about Middlesbrough though..... 13. Middlesbrough Last season’s relegation battle is unlikely to be repeated, now that square pegs are in square holes and their young English contingent has an added year of experience. Aynsley Pears, Boro’s 22-year-old goalkeeper, is one to watch this campaign.
  16. I heard he's an absolute Munster.
  17. Not sure that is Covid compliant.
  18. Saw this comment on the Bournemouth forum: Wilson was a player who was rarely played in his best position while at AFCB. Almost always played out wide when he should have been tucked in behind the forwards in a more central role. He scored 15 goals for Derby in the Championship playing in that role and most of the ones he got with us (7 in total) were when he came inside. He also scored 7 in 11 games at Hull the season before in the same role. Sounds like he's better in the Dack role than out wide.
  19. Also, surely not a chance we'd get Harry Wilson. He was playing regular Premier League football last season, surely we would be seen as a backward step.
  20. Is Ronaldinho out of prison yet?
  21. Maybe he's signing Pears in case Dolan or Gallagher get injured? We know he likes playing people on the right wing, who are not right winger.
  22. Completely agree. Never seen someone so far off the pace.
  23. John Ruddy never played for Sheffield United - so not him.
