  1. I got them through the official RLFC site. I rang the ticket line and one of the first options on the automated line was what to do if you hadn't received your tickets yet. It said something about being able to collect them at the ground - but when I bought them online it said tickets purchased before the week of the game would be sent out no later than 5 days prior to it.
  2. Anyone going on Saturday? I ordered my tickets on Wednesday last week - but still haven't had them. Am I right in thinking they can just reprint them at the ground on the day.
  3. Brunskill or Bowyer? Both equally as qualified as Kean to do the job I'd imagine.
  4. Having said that - when they got rid of Allardyce and McDonald at the same time, there was no-one to step in a take charge.
  5. RIP mate. I was there yesterday, though I didn't see the incident. Just show's how fragile life is - and football really doesn't matter at the end of the day.
  6. It's simple for me - we should only keep the fittest people at the club. So Sam and Benny should go for a run and the first one to need a rest can f&*k off
  7. I'd go with something similar LeChuck - but I'd pick Grella instead of Diouf. That way you could have a midfield three of Emerton, Grella and N'Zonzi - with Dunn and McCarthy playing off Di Santo. Dunn and McCarthy could play pretty much a free role and that would be a nightmare to defend against.
  8. I think it was Dunn said that after Short opened the scoring against Burnley in the 5-0 win, he was running around shouting 'That's my first goal in 5 years!'. About 5 minutes later he dribbled along the bye-line before cutting the ball across goal, where it was deflected in by Steve Davis. He started running around shouting 'That's my second goal in 5 years'. Legend!
  9. He was on Radio Rovers after the game on Saturday. He said it was a 6 month contract - and he didn't want to stay longer. He said his ideal job would be in the North of England - and he'd love to manage Rovers one day!
  10. Ha Ha - If Andy Cole needed four chances to score, there is no way Roberts takes 1 in 3!
  11. He's got two this season - the same as Benni. In 2009 he's got 9, one more than Benni.
  12. Aren't the two fingers used by an archer different to those in a V sign?
  13. But would Benni have outpaced the defence to get in that position in the first place.
  14. "Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has warned Benni McCarthy to keep an eye on his waistline." Pot, Kettle, Black?
  15. I was just reading the article where Savage says he wanted Big Club to be relegated again. At the bottom there is a comment by a Mr Kunal Patel a Manchester United fan that I enjoyed:
  16. It's coming to something when you can't discuss David Dunn and Damien Duff on the same thread! What next - not being allowed to mention more than one player in a thread?
  17. I'm with philipl on this one. Getting yourself in a lot of debt isn't so bad as long as your earnings stay at the expected levels. If they dropped dramatically - United could be in trouble. While we'd feel the strain - the fact we've only a small level of debt is a big bonus. Who'd want to buy United if it looked like the bubble had burst? In many ways - I think it would improve football - money has/is ruining the game.
  18. Giggs would be the perfect example. He was written off years ago - and while he might be a bit over the hill now - he's gone on longer than people expected at the very top level.
  19. What happens if the football bubble bursts like the property one seems to have done? If people get sick of the lack of competition, and interest in watching on tele dies, this could also lead to a substantial drop in income. Maybe then United would be screwed!
  20. I've tried to find it on rightmove - could it possibly be this one? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-195...=1&tr_t=buy There are some trophies in a cabinet in there.
  21. Yes. There is a pub/carvery near me and people form a very long queue there for the food.
  22. I know Millwall fans were surprised that Neill became a right-back for us - suggesting Reid would be far better in that position. Maybe he just needs time - although like most I haven't been impressed so far. Having said that, Reid doesn't impress me much wherever he plays.
