  1. Speaking of hoban. His name got brought back up on the transfer thread when suggesting defenders. He has done his cruciate again and will miss the season.
  2. My money would be on Celina from swansea
  3. It's 8 quid a kid and the only movement is when they close a stand and make season ticket holders move
  4. I will be doing my upmost to attend. Be nice if we could get a few down and cheer them on. Show them dingles up on and off the field
  5. It's not a case of what level can dack reach (although I definitely agree regards top half) it's more what we will lose when he's gone. It's possible something is already lined up. Either way your only as good as the team around you. You improve the team and dack will shine. He is real quality at our level and very hard to replace
  6. Deep down we all new keeping hold of dack this summer would be a hard task. I do worry about losing him. Another who we won't know what we have until it's gone. Quality like dacks is rare and not easily replaced even with the fee we will receive.
  7. Tbf to Tony he has addressed pretty much all of our concerns. The biggest worry for me was that he couldn't see what we all could see but clearly he is well aware of the problems we have highlighted on numerous occasions. The soundbites in the LT and so on are what have created the doubt in me personally and to hear that fills me with confidence. If he can pull it off is another question but I feel like at least we're on the same page and for me , that's all I needed to give him my full backing. This summer is massive and he needs to get it right because it's one thing seeing the problems ( which up until tonight I honestly doubted) and another fixing them. Let's get to the end of the season. Get Chapman and Davenport fit, give rothwell and travis a run of games, get Ben doing something whether it's u23s, first team, weights or selling programmes. Just not wasted out wide for the odd cameo because that isn't helping him and re asses after the summer. Im relieved to that tonight. He said a few transfer windows and up to now he has delivered, highlighted what needs fixing and has set about doing it (off the pitch anyway) . It's the hope that kills you.
  8. Is this on the radio. If not can anyone post Soundbites at a later date. Anyone gone ?
  9. Forget stats , there easily manipulated for either side of an argument and don't often correspond with what is actually happening on the pitch. I.e we had the most possession and played the most passes... but it was in our half and we lost 3-0. you play to your teams strengths. Can someone remind me what ours are again please
  10. The Irish lad must be good if he has 18 months left on his deal and commanding a six figure fee from the league of Ireland. I would be genuinely gutted if the Buckley rumours are true. The lad is a real talent and I would say 12 month away from first team football if he keeps progressing like he has. Travis and Buckley could be the future. Sadly once the big boys come calling it's hard to keep hold like the lad who went to Leicester. The best thing he could do is stay before he vanishes for the next five years and ends up being loaned around when he has a real chance of developing here into a first team player. There are alot of good young players coming through at rovers but Buckley is the one who has that real x factor feel to him.
  11. Add that to at least 8 defensive players starting every game and leaking goals for fun
  12. I don't see it like that. The Newport players where delighted and one said he would cherish the moment for the rest of his life. With all the bad in football it's nice to hear something positive for a change and I think it was nothing but a class gesture from pep that can't be faulted.
  13. Just a slap on the wrist
  14. I thought it was chokemewith shoelaces
  15. I think he's saying whilst I respect other people's opinions I voted for the last one.
  16. How's the starman doing
  17. Looks like to the left of Buckley in a midfield three. I'm not there so that is going off a website and that's how they have us lined up. I think he might have a free role knowing how he plays
  18. Rovers playing a 3-5-2 with wing backs. Chapman starts. Buckley in cm. Nuttall and Butterworth up top. Rankin Costello and Thompson on the wings and magloire at cb
  19. If he gives Conway another year then I will seriously be pissed with him
  20. I know times have changed but souness tried to improve diet at Liverpool and Ian rush insisted on steak and chips before a game and he didn't do to bad. I agree with dieticians etc but sometimes it can go to far. If you want to be the best ala Ronaldo/Kane , you will do anything for small gains. I guess Bradley just wants to play football but doesn't have the ambition or drive to push himself to his peak potential
  21. Some very interesting comments. No one seemed to imply they had lost a gem or real talent which again draws attention to the astronomical fee. Also there seems to be question marks over his attitude. Again doesn't mirror Tony's philosophy of hard working humble men....buts this is rovers. More questions raised than answers. This transfer goes against everything Tony has said.
  22. What I don't understand is where he says the next manager gets 50 million and becomes a hero. The club either has funds or it doesn't. Why would he not get it if it was Available and likewise why would another manager get 50 million yet he can't have it.
  23. I voted the last one although doing a great job is stretching it. I don't think what he says in the media is doing him any favours. He deserves to keep his job If you look at it simplistically. He got us up and I'm assuming keeping us up. That was his target and he achieved it. This summer is absolutely massive. He has to get the recruitment spot on, he has to be ruthless with his current squad and for the remainder of this season he has to improve the overall quality of football with the players he has. I don't believe he will take us any higher than mid table but he deserves an opportunity to implement what he says. I also give him some benefit of the doubt when working for these clowns as we all know what is said in public and what actually happens can be slightly different and what could follow shouldn't be a factor in my decision but sadly it is. I have been stopped from posting this by moderators. coyle scarred me for life. I think after the summer around the first international break is the time to asses what he has done and I think would be a fair time to start seriously questioning a manager that has done alot more good for this club than bad
  24. Think peacock and dailly have to take that accolade for me
