  1. Take David Lowe and your fucking biscuit tin with you
  2. And if chaddy comes on here with his 5 year contract offer I swear I will get banned for life
  3. Im doing a massive u-turn since the poll purly as I have lost all faith he has the tactical nous to get the best out of some very average players he has assembled and tied to long deals. Throw in his piss poor record in the transfer market and refusal to spend money (if it was ever available), the mismanagement of players, poor coaching staff and negative uninspired home performances, playing 8 defenders, with square peg in round holes and I've snapped. He isn't going to get rovers challenging anywhere near the right end of the table. Thanks Tony and goodbye surrender monkey
  4. The big problem with Tony is good or bad results, championship or league 1, he's never been convincing.
  5. That is not a line up we should be overly concerned about. Play to our strengths and we win
  6. Isn't that the Westlife lad who had a trail at Leeds ?
  7. Well he is either brave or stupid. I think we all know which
  8. I'd say he can't afford to lose with that line up
  9. It's simple. 8 defenders at home to Preston. The minimum I expect is a clean sheet .
  10. Bennett rb , nyambe cb, Evans Smallwood combo back together, 8 defenders. Same old same old
  11. I will never forget or forgive Jim white for the shite he spouted before the fa cup game against united I met him when Wigan played united in the Carling cup final and he seemed like a nice guy, probably is, but the venkys where coming for you claptrap really stuck in my throat
  12. Good post and thanks for the reply. I'm 33. I can relate to alot of that. Football used to be my passion. I loved it. It was in my heart and soul. The same way you would adopt I child, I adopted rovers. I deeply cared about it, loved it, worried about it and was proud of it. Money and greed, devalued completions etc have murdered the game I adopted as my own. It may no longer have the same passion and resonate with the fans on an emotional level the way it used to but... Imo, It's still the best entertainment in the world it's just not the game I fell in love with. Nothing else gets me excited like football does. Nothing else makes me go out of my way like football does. Is this because I have matured and childlike niavety has left me along with my innocence and I see the business side of the game what I couldn't see as a child. The greed and corruption or am i still yearning to find the same enthusiasm and love I had for the game as a child. So to sum up I can't feel the same connection to the game I once did but as an entertainment it's world's ahead of the music, film industry etc and all other sports. That's what keeps drawing me to watch champions league finals, fa cups etc. Being able to discuss at length with other fans, work colleagues and people down the pub . Football can draw strangers to Bond in a way I have rarely seen. Just a badge on your hat can start endless chat with people who would otherwise ignore you. That side of the game is still alive and once you ignore the stupid pundits, advertising and constant talk of how much the game is worth in pounds underneath somewhere is 22 people battling it out for that childhood dream we all had. If I focus on that then the game I loved can never die
  13. Please don't take this as a dig or insult as it isn't intended as one but when I read things like this it suprises me as people spend alot of time on here discussing rovers so one can only assume you have a strong passion for football. Yet so many people just dismiss other games , especially things like the fa cup final. I get your average fan or the usual plastic mancs but if you discuss rovers with such passion daily how can you not have that love of the game feel and interest and dismiss things like the champions league final and fa cup etc. I genuinely want to know what makes someone like yourself clearly love rovers and football and not have the some level of interest in the other competitions. I love rovers more than anything else in football and they come first but that love I have of rovers is because I love the beautiful game which ignites my interest in other games and competitions etc.
  14. He's earned enough trust and respect to put right his misplaced trust in certain players and put his words into actions over the summer. After that as far as I'm concerned he has to show progression. that has to be new signings, letting some players go, coaching methods, style of play and tactically. I don't expect or think we are entitled to promotion. Progression is key for me. He has to start delivering on what he says as we all know by now with the dross that has had the hot seat over the last few years actions speak louder than words. The ship has been steadied, some small foundations have been built. We have consolidated and tested players in this league, this summer it's time to start progressing as a team and a club.
  15. For me it's as simple as good pr in India. The positive story runs in the Indian press with a picture of the lad, with his super imposed venky logo on his t-shirt . He comes here purly part of a publicity stunt. He goes home within six months and speaks about what a fabulous experience it was and how venkys have an amazing youth set up etc, more good pr, then it's as you where. This is purly PR for the people of India and to boost the venky brand, not Blackburn rovers. Absolutely no thought has gone into Blackburn rovers.
  16. Looking back it's pretty diabolical.
  17. Jason Lowe is not better than smallwank. Not even close
  18. Before my time but brilliant listen all the same
  19. 1. Graham 2. Reed. 3. Armstrong
  20. City as I go watching them with friends. Couldn't care less really but if I had to pick
  21. I don't know 5 year contract extensions aren't cheap.
