I was that angry and depressed yesterday even Burnley’s woes didn’t make me feel any better. I think they are relying on Leeds and Everton continuing to struggle now. That said they both have very winnable home games today.

Brighton keeper somehow doesn’t get sent off against Liverpool for a high challenge a la Shumaker in the 82 World Cup, despite VAR. In fact he didn’t even get booked. Brave header to score by young Diaz.

I think he’s a good manager Chaddy - he has the respect of the players and could probably attract good players to the club. I’ve been impressed by the way he’s gone about his business, and slightly surprised to be honest.

I don't want to tempt fate but this game has draw written all over it.

Compared to what he's had to put up with at Derby, those are idyllic working conditions.

I guess its all about timing but I think the Rovers job is still one of the top jobs in the game, particularly with seemingly the ability to run the club how you see fit without too much interference. I know we moan and groan on here a lot but we are still seen as a big club. He won't come if we don't ask him, that's for sure.

I don't always agree with @chaddyrovers but this is actually a very good shout. The fella has performed miracles and I think he would do well in England. I think my first choice would be Rooney though.

We’ll need to agree to disagree on this. He’s not on the bench anyway so it’s a moot point. His brain is that of a goal scorer whereas the lads on the pitch (and bench) tonight don’t have the instinct. Nowt to do with blowing out of his arse with respect.

Come on Chaddy, you can do better than this. You might not be old enough to remember getting chased along Manchester Road in the 70s coming back from Burnden Park, but as a cricket fan you know only too well that LCCC headquarters is in Manchester. Or do your rules not apply to cricket? As an aside, as I posted elsewhere a while back, many Darreners get more worked up when we play Bolton than they do when we play the Dingles, as it is closer to us.

Bolton, Preston, Blackpool, Dingles...all traditional Lancashire derbies. Obviously the game against Bonleh is THE derby for most Rovers fans but I honestly can't understand why you would think North End wasn't also a local derby match??
