  1. Glass half full matey. We have enough legitimate things to complain about without creating extra ones. I suppose if whoever does step up misses the next Rovers penalty you’ll be on here saying “I told you so”!?
  2. Lenihan, Ayala, Van Hecke, Giles, Pickering, Khadra, Rothwell, Hedges. Just off the top of my head I would have no qualms about any of these stepping up.
  3. Great preview Ian - the bar has been set unbelievably high there now! I’ve only ever been to Sheffield once when football hasn’t been involved and that was to run in a cross country race in a big park in the city over 40 years ago. The snooker at the Crucible is on my bucket list though, so hopefully I will tick that one off one day. Mark Patterson says that Blades fans are unbelievable and he regularly gets recognised on holiday etc even though he didn’t play for them for that long. Some good bands have come out of that city over the years as well. Human League, Heaven 17, Arctic Monkeys, Richard Hawley, Pulp etc etc
  4. The facts are these: The heating system is automatically triggered when the temperature drops to a certain point. Nobody ‘forgot to turn it on’ nor is it switched off. Those two issues are being assumed by you to suit your narrative. Under soil heating is not designed to ‘melt snow’. That simply is not what it is there for or what it does. In any event snow on the pitch is not what caused the game to be postponed and I don’t think there is any dispute about that.
  5. Says any groundsman who has operated at an elite level.
  6. Sorry mate - most of that is horse shit. More than one poster has explained how the under soil heating works but you’re still insinuating that we ‘forgot to turn it on (if it still works)’. I’m the first and quickest to criticise the club but basically making things up and having a pop at them for those made-up things undermines all the legitimate complaints we actually have.
  7. Most of them are relatively young lads mate and as I just posted in reply to someone else, Arma and Ben have taken all of our pens for 2+ seasons now.
  8. How could anyone else in the squad ‘stand out’ to take pens when Arma and Ben have taken all of them for the past 2+ seasons. Seems a strange thing to be negative about. I’m sure most of them are perfectly capable of taking a decent penalty.
  9. How do you know we don’t have a natural penalty taker? None of us do really. But Buckley would be the last person I would have put forward mate to be honest.
  10. Yeah we have always looked the tired side in those circs.
  11. I’m not normally one for conspiracy theories but this would not surprise me in the least.
  12. Ah well it took him slightly longer but there was only ever one winner here
  13. Brook in four
  14. Elkie Brooks - Fool If You Think It’s Over
  15. I think you’re the one doing the assuming here tbf.
  16. The Specials - Do Nothing
  17. Great result Longers, no doubt about it. Decent for Watford and to a lesser extent Toon as well. You need to follow that up with a home win now.
  18. At the end of the day there’s little to choose between any of the top half, with the possible exception of Fulham. We’ve beaten most of them and beaten them well at times so we shouldn’t fear anyone. we could have done with playing (and winning) today though. Boro and QPR slipping up today so far - it will be swings and roundabouts all the way till May now.
  19. And yet we battered them at Ewood!?
  20. The Blades are certainly on a good run but other teams have been at various points too, including us.
  21. On the face of it that’s disappointing, but if Brighton did manage to sneak a point with a second half comeback that would pretty much seal Burnley’s fate. They’ve been poor at hanging on to leads this season, albeit today’s is a 2 goal cushion.
  22. People on here are falling over themselves to point the finger at the club today it would appear. When it looks as though it’s simply that the ref just didn’t fancy it.
  23. Every single person who is at the ground thinks the pitch is playable, except for the referee. The club isn’t to blame for everything.
