  1. My great uncle Albert Walmsley would be another (played in I think the 1920s) and a former works team mate of mine Pete Devine played a few first team games for the Rovers as well.
  2. My musical tastes are eclectic and in truth I rarely play The Jam these days, I just occasionally take a notion for a particular album.
  3. Mine will be culled from these
  4. Everything But the Girl - Me and Bobby D
  5. Bah late winner for Boscombe. In terms of the play off places not a bad day for us (as long as we get summat on Monday)
  6. Bournemouth and Boscombe have equalised but Forest and QPR losing
  7. Simon and Garfunkel - Mrs Robinson
  8. Donkey lashers one up against Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic
  9. Because it is utterly shit.
  10. He just can't bloody help himself Tony.
  11. There were two separate minutes' silence. One for VE Day and one for Noel Brotherston, who had tragically died a few days earlier. You could hear a pin drop during both of them, which when you consider the cauldron the atmosphere was that night, was incredible, and a testament to the 30,000 in attendance. I've always respected the Geordies since that night.
  12. The Black Pumas - OCT 33
  13. Paul Weller - Back In the Fire Nice use of the word 'wanker' in the lyrics....
  14. Dion and the Belmonts - A Teenager In Love
  15. I seem to recall that it was indeed Bill Fox. Franz Carr was selected as an apprentice at Ewood ahead of my younger brother, Rovers only took one or two on every year at that time and they could only afford one that season. Franz’s dad was a bit pushier than mine! (joking apart Franz was an exceptional player at 16 and even our kid understood why he’d been selected).
  16. Michael Jackson - Dirty Diana
  17. The Jam - Beat Surrender
  18. Culture Club - Time (Clock Of The Heart)
  19. The Jam - When You're Young
  20. The Bay City Rollers - Bye Bye Baby
  21. : Kaminski, Lenihan (c), van Hecke, Wharton, Nyambe, Travis, Buckley, Rothwell, Zeefuik, Hedges, Giles Subs: Pears, Johnson, Ayala, Davenport, Khadra, Rankin-Costello, Brereton Diaz
  22. Ocean Colour Scene - I Told You So
  23. I'm afraid this spoilt what was otherwise an interesting post. Rovers have had many more than just the 3 'glory seasons', even if you believe that football didn't exist until 1992, which it most certainly did. For what it is worth, 1995/96 was Jack's biggest mistake. For all the reasons you have alluded to.
