It’s a very thorough report and it was gratifying to know that the Rovers Trust had some direct influence on it. Politics aside Tracey Crouch is very much a football fan and this is reflected in much of the language used in the report. Indeed the club she supports was part of the disgraceful European Super League nonsense which she vociferously criticised. She should get government support for her proposals, provided she can fend off the inevitable lobbying from the usual self-interested suspects from within the game.

We are going round in circles here so I’ll probably draw a line under my contribution to this - I asked you a very specific question there about whether you think under those circumstances I was credible - which you dodged as it doesn’t suit your narrative. Yeah it’s difficult to see beyond a one-sided series really, mainly down to our brittle top 6. I’d like to think Stokes will make all the difference for us but in reality he will just make it a bit tighter and less of a rout.
