  1. The Jam - When You're Young
  2. Difficult one to follow that really, but here goes: Bobby Beato and Purple Reign - This Old Man (Knick Knack Paddy Whack)
  3. That's a blast from the past mate, blimey! Erma Franklin - Piece of My Heart
  4. Scritti Politti - She's a Woman
  5. The Electric Light Orchestra - Above the Clouds (Paul Weller had a song with the same title)
  6. The Jam - To Be Someone (Must Be a Wonderful Thing)
  7. He still works very hard these days mate, he’s a very driven bloke. I haven’t liked everything he’s done by a long chalk but we are lucky to have him and his last 3 or 4 albums have been incredible for a guy his age.
  8. Typical of Paul Weller. Spends 30 odd years telling anyone who will listen that he would never reform The Jam (and rightly so) and then goes and contributes to the excellent documentary on The Style Council by - guess what - reforming The Style Council (albeit just for one song but it was still a fantastic moment). Not sure how his current wife took to seeing his ex wife with him in his recording studio though....
  9. Ocean Colour Scene - Lining Your Pockets
  10. Scissor Sisters - I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’
  11. The English Beat - Two Swords
  12. Sparks - This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us
  13. Work is exempt from that aspect of the lockdown as far as I know. My job certainly is. There are supposed to be hotels open for workers.
  14. The Jam - Town Called Malice
  15. Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Davy's On the Road Again
  16. Paul Weller - Fly On the Wall Another of his very many brilliant B-sides
  17. I agree with you Stuart in respect of the fairness angle, in respect of the competition and the pricing of behind closed door events etc; but I wouldn't underestimate the mental health benefits football and other sports bring to people, even in its 'unfair' form. We all get frustrated when Rovers lose or play badly, but I'd rather pay my £10 and watch it regardless of whether we win, lose or draw, than have to endure month after month of desolation, depression and ennui. with little or no end to it in sight.
  18. The Clash - White Man In Hammersmith Palais
  19. The Jam - I've Changed My Address
  20. Me too. He sounds just the ticket actually.
  21. Bobby Ball dying the day after it was announced that a cop called Bolok was killed by a cock in the Phillipines (see link!) has a certain synergy actually https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-54715327
  22. Fabulous news mate - fingers crossed that everything goes well.
  23. The Beatles - She Said She Said
