There might be a chance of England vs. Scotland? That would be good.

If Tony goes...

You're the sentimental type then Chaddy. Why not bring back David Dunn and Ryan Nelsen to be coaches with Alan Shearer as director of football? And get in Tony Parkes if he's interested. OK I am exaggerating but I just don't see how someone who has been brilliant this one season, a season they may still end in failure, at a club in the lower leagues is the answer. Nor can I really see a youth coach who did well being the number 1, obvious choice. -

No to Holloway. Had one good spell with Blackpool, but has been rubbish ever since. Entertaining interviews after the latest loss though. -

One swallow does not make a summer Chaddy. James Beattie had one great season at Southampton and was pretty average for the rest of his career. I'm sorry that I insulted your latest crush but I don't see it. -

Ainsworth has done nowt. Wycombe have yoyoed between the second and third division and have only looked good this season. He'd be another sentimental choice like Johnson or Hughes and I'd prefer results and promotion. -
I've never understood the clamour for Ainsworth. A pretty decent league 1 manager but nothing special. Just because he is associated with the club doesn't mean he is the right person to take over.

I remember Spuds getting absolutely bummed 4 or 5-0 that season when Suarez, Sterling and Sturridge were flying. It could have been 10 or more. -

Keane might offer the coaches a fight if they disagree with him as well. He is a sledgehammer to crack a nut type of man. As for snowflake culture, the biggest snowflakes are over 40 years of age but that's a whole different thread and not related to football let alone Mowbray. -

I wouldn't. Sure he's the opposite of Tony but he's been rubbish apart from that season or two at Sunderland before he took them back down. He's mental. -

Tony won't have that much pressure as his mates are with him, the owners are absent and useless and a sizeable chunk of the fan base are ok with losing to Leeds or West Brom as they are chasing promotion. To add to Tomphil's point about attitudes rubbing off onto players, it's why Ferguson was so good as he was so driven to win and wanted trophies. Roy Keane is the same, but he's an absolute fruit cake so he is not subtle and nuanced when needed. -

Out of that list I'd have the following in this order: Hughton Moyes Adkins -
I have nothing against Sunderland, but I'd like him to really screw over another British club in order to prove us right.

As far as I know Force India was owned by another rich Indian, who was under a cloud for tax dodging or something like that. I don't remember hearing of other owners or stake holders. -

Hughton, Moyes (unlikely I know), maybe even Bruce when he gets binned at Newcastle. As long as it's not Pulis, Megson McCall or some random has been like that. -

If we are happy with being 14th or thereabouts every season, Tony should stay. If we have ambitions of more, he should go. -
I've not been able to catch the highlights of games recently, so I am unaware of how well or badly we are playing.

Does it have the feel of the start of another bad run?

Well Steven Gerrard was once said to have had an affair with his wife's sister who doesn't exist, and captain Pugwash was supposedly full of innuendo. Lies can become 'truth' very quickly.

If I was making decisions after we got promoted this season, I'd take the money and then bank it with a few better players coming in on relatively small money. Do what Burnley have done, not what Fulham did. -

Nathan Hughes and Rockodaguni were also eligible for Fiji. The Vunipola brothers were born in Australia and New Zealand to Tongan parents and France have bought a few giants from that part of the world who've qualified after playing in their league. -
We need someone good for when Gillespie inevitably leads Australia in a few years time.

Wheelie bin was a crap player and a crap coach. His appointment as Strauss's replacement is another school tie/jobs for the boys stitch up.

I was a big critic after the first few games, but thankfully things have got better. Holtby was a good signing out of the blue and maybe we'll do better than last season. I still don't think we'll challenge for promotion, and Tony is probably not the right one to do so but with the squad starting to work together, we could avoid something like that horrendous run we had last season. -
It sounds like we were all wrong and Evans played well. Tony Tombola got it right.
