  1. Good to know someone else watches Kunt. Do you have any homeless friends?
  2. Sounds like a similar set up to a pub in Coventry I go to. In there, you queue up like a soup kitchen with empty flasks, bottles etc and you get real ale or cider supplied. The problem is there's a park about 3 metres away and on a nice day people sit out there together and have a drink with no social distancing.
  3. Well this all sounds above board and good. You'd think Fury would not want to associate with these sort of characters given his previous problems and revival as a man largely rehabilitated in the public eye.
  4. I can imagine Jim selling it like the Athletico Mince version of him: "This offer is so exciting, it is making my balls tingle and a bit leaking out my Jap's eye. Are you excited by this offer?"
  5. I couldn't get into VIII after being introduced to the series with VII. I haven't started on IX yet.
  6. Might have a look at that one day. FM 2011 is the last version I bought, and I couldn't be bothered with all the press conferences etc. However, I edited it so Steve Kean was Burnley manager and I used to wind him up all the time.
  7. He was always one of my favouites when I watched in the early 90's. The sheer theater of his entrance with Paul Bearer was great. https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-52633509
  8. Lehinen, Nyambe, Travis and before the suspension of the competition Rankin-Costello and Buckley have all appeared. Scrap the academy and then what? Loans and free transfers like Wes Brown to complete the squad?
  9. He's been in trouble for breaching lockdown rules I think, crashed his car into a cafe and then ran, and he has a reputation for being one of those guys more interested in money and parties than training and performing on the pitch.
  10. I hope my initial feeling is as accurate as when Souness brought in some reserve goalie from Liverpool years ago. I was not impressed when I heard that news.
  11. Just so you know, I've never had a test, or been offered one despite working throughout this period. Only 1 person I work with has, and that's only because his wife is a nurse and had the virus. Another guy at work had to make the choice of taking time off as the school his child was going to had a couple of cases. Other than that we've been left to our own devices and had to make judgements on how to conduct ourselves with no interference. My sister who is a PC had a test done at hospital week or two ago as she was feeling a bit rough, but had no prior offers for testing or whatever.
  12. Can we rename this thread 'Vinjay's petty little vendettas take over again' or something like that? It'll warn people against reading his constant raging against Man Utd, Sir Alex Ferguson (to give him his full title), the Walker family and whatever obsessions he steers every single thread towards.
  13. I don't know, but I remember a relative of one tit of a player coming here and gobbing off around the Kean/manager tombola period.
  14. You should watch City of god, it's brilliant. How scenes repeat from different character's perspectives, the story is told and so on is so we'll put together.
  15. I could see Travis going to a Sheffield United, or a Brighton type of club. I wouldn't want it of course but we know it will happen.
  16. I think there is a wider issue that traditional fans are sick of. They're sick of the game turning into a Hollywood style set up where people idolise the player (or actor) above the team (or film). They are sick of such players being the gods of know nothings from India or Canada because they once saw a Real Madrid vs. Man City game. They're sick of Paul Pogba being an Instagram star as much as playing the game. They're sick of clubs like PSG, only formed in 1975 being supported by people from Huddersfield who have no idea the latter have ever won the league. They're sick of the money, the corrupt agents and all of that sort of thing. I find it difficult to care about the game beyond this club when it is so broken myself at times.
  17. Will all this mean Coventry City are promoted? About time the club had some good news. Now all they need to do is sort out a ground.
  18. I sort of see where you're coming from, as I am of the sort where someone can tell me they like ladyboys, want a sex change, are gay or whatever and I think that it's their business and if they're happy and comfortable then fine. It's the people who stomp around looking for offence and or on an endless quest for labels and more narrow definitions that ruin it for everyone.
  19. I think part of the problem comes from when Justin Fashanu was outed all those years ago. It was in the 80s when the gutter press were making lurid headlines about homosexuals being sexual deviants, giving AIDS to everyone in nightclub orgies. Justin was one of the first known gay players and he was seen in such a negative way, and probably went off the rails from all the accusations and pressure from the press and his odious family.
  20. Don't buy Pogba or Neymar then.
  21. Last one I really played was 2011. I dread to think how much detail and fiddly fannying about with tactics and talking to the press you have to do now. There's only so much tinkering I can be bothered with.
  22. Peter Bonneti, the former goal keeper is also dead.
  23. Anyone know at what point of the story this episode ends?
