  1. Well it's not like the real money is coming from a billionaire from Singapore is it?.......... I'm happy I don't have sky as it'll all be about Salford without mentioning the massive financially incestuous relationship with Neville, Skybet and so on. I expect a load of loans from Valencia, also owned by Peter Lim if Salford go up the divisions. As for Bury, there is obviously a plan from the EFL to make them go bust and use them as a warning to others about finance, whilst helping Bolton in any way possible even though they can barely put together a 5 a side team, and are trying to be run by a crook.
  2. This is the sort of battling, stubborn batting performance England have been lacking for a while. I hope Roy and Denly can add to it in the future, then things will be ok.
  3. Roy, Root or one of the big hitters of the middle order needs to score big to keep things level. I'm not confident of the whole batting order doing their bit and the team all contributing towards a big total. There will probably be collapses.
  4. Yes, that's true but I was thinking of all the assets being sold, Ibrox becoming a Lidl and all that. The full meltdown like West Hartlepool RFU or Chester City FC.
  5. It's so annoying though. It happens so often. We get so far, do really well and then lose concentration, or something. OK, losing Jimmy is a huge blow, but we had them on the ropes at 122/8 and now they have a decent score.
  6. We can never quite finish the job and smash a team. There's always a partnership 6-9 wickets down that accumulates runs and frustrates.
  7. I thought Hearts went really dodgy for a while off the pitch. I can't imagine a Scottish scene with Rangers disappearing. You'd have to give Celtic the title forever, and the other teams play to finish 2nd.
  8. A bit harsh from Pressley, especially when you think he's managed a basket case club in Coventry city in the past.
  9. Another example of how football is broken. It shows that these new markets for the sport just don't get it. Football is a team sport, and you support the team not just one player. They should be made to hand back their Juventus shirts and never watch another non Korean game again. Still, being contracted to appear at a friendly (which is weird) and the manager not doing it is a breach of contract.
  10. I think I said the same thing a few pages ago. It would be great to loan the youngsters, as we'd look good and the Bolton fans would have to bugrudgingly thank us as they search for a rival team.
  11. Can't imagine which team you are thinking of.
  12. The EFL are probably waiting for Bolton to go under, so they don't have to deal with the mess of shady new owners with no money doing the same as the current owners. It will be bad PR for a while if they fold, but the EFL will hope a new Bolton team will shoot up non league and then come back in 10+ years time as the AFC Wimbledon/Accrington Stanley feel good story. That would be good PR, and people will forget the negligence on the part of the authorities and the legions of awful owners they allow to own clubs. A protracted saga will make, and is making football look crooked and incompetent. Bolton dying now will put it to an end, and then the EFL and PFA won't have to loan money or even take over the club until ownership is sorted out.
  13. I would too, to keep the confidence and momentum going. However, he'll probably be on the bench with Rothwell and Nyembe watching Bennett and Tony's favourite players.
  14. Good lord England are dog crap at test cricket. On another note Bancroft has been recalled by the Australian team, so now all the cheats are back.
  15. Looks like it'll be a season just like last season, but with a few more goals scored. Unless Magilore or Wharton become the next Maldini which I doubt. That is very disappointing.
  16. Wasn't he the one who said the club was racist for sacking Paul Ince?
  17. He disappeared from football after destroying racing Santander years ago. I wonder where he is now. Maybe he'll have a joint bid with that fake Sheikh who claimed to be a Saudi prince and owned Portsmouth when they were in similar trouble.
  18. Just skimming through the goings on, and all this seems very much like Michael Knighton and Man Utd. Or John Spano, who briefly owned the New York Islanders ice hockey team and turned out to be a massive fraud.
  19. Yep. It would be a disaster, as it would be something else the Raos would use in order to never let the club go. Let's say that Amazon owner wanted to buy the club for arguments sake, the Venkys clowns could then demand more money or refuse to sell the stadium and generally be infuriatingly stupid as per usual.
  20. I was surprised to find out I was classified as a millennial, as I thought it was people born around 2000. Not that any of this has anything to do with the dire need for a central defender and a goalkeeper. How far along is the Man City kid's deal?
  21. No,what I'm saying is if Stuart is a similar age to me (late 30s), he is a millennial. If he is over 40 or thereabouts he isn't.
  22. It could be worse, look up Coventry City's away kit history, as there are some right stinkers.
  23. I assume you are well over 40 years of age then.
  24. Nope. Still shite. That mint green has escaped from the late 80s and the heavy drizzle grey suits something escorting ships in U boat infested waters.
