This private equity firm are steadily increasing their influence in rugby union, possibly at the detrement of the sport. I fear that they will create a closed off super League involving these clubs and promotion and relegation will not be allowed. Therefore all the big money will be carved up between a cabal of super clubs, and everyone else will have to survive as best they can. Auckland City are about the same level as Morcombe and play against teams worse than the national League north/south.

Ainsworth has done nowt. Wycombe have yoyoed between the second and third division and have only looked good this season. He'd be another sentimental choice like Johnson or Hughes and I'd prefer results and promotion.

I've never understood the clamour for Ainsworth. A pretty decent league 1 manager but nothing special. Just because he is associated with the club doesn't mean he is the right person to take over.

Tony won't have that much pressure as his mates are with him, the owners are absent and useless and a sizeable chunk of the fan base are ok with losing to Leeds or West Brom as they are chasing promotion. To add to Tomphil's point about attitudes rubbing off onto players, it's why Ferguson was so good as he was so driven to win and wanted trophies. Roy Keane is the same, but he's an absolute fruit cake so he is not subtle and nuanced when needed.

As far as I know Force India was owned by another rich Indian, who was under a cloud for tax dodging or something like that. I don't remember hearing of other owners or stake holders.
