  1. I'd be disappointed with Jerome myself. He's pretty poor, and constantly misses sitters. Sort of like Heskey, tries hard but has no ability.
  2. So no rumours, just some sad middle aged men chatting crap about women whilst idly playing with their semis.
  3. I half expected Coyle as well, especially since he managed Lancashire rivals in the past. The only thing the oystons haven't done to goad the fans is to poo on Stanley Mathews' grave.
  4. I was quite positive about Moore, and I think he should be given time ahead of a knee jerk cut and run to hire some failure like Padrew et al. New blood need to get on the merry go round, otherwise we'll end up having to hire all the managers from the Bundesliga.
  5. Green shoots to hope for the future of the wasteland at Ewood Park, but toxic waste still being dumped with brown envelopes going to the oystons at Blackpool (that family of sex offenders don't deserve the upper case for their name).
  6. Maybe I'm biased as I was a calzghe fan, and all the big yank stars avoided him, but Wilder and his agent seems a bigger Billy bullsh-tter than them. AJ has fought V Klitschko at least whilst Wilder is happy facing bums in front of biased judges in the USA. He gives it the big I am with offering stupid deals with a 24 hour deadline but never backs it up. Wilder is the bad tempered ladybird of boxing.
  7. Cov City lost despite signing Ogogo from the Shrews. Hope the first Cov Rugby pre-season game goes better since we signed a load of brutal Tongans like Halifornua from Gloucester. We'd all like him to face up against Neymar, put it that way.
  8. I seem to remember Waghorn being one of those 'oh no don't sign that donkey' players when we had a crap manager. Not looked up his career but I think he was like Heskey, worked hard, tried but scored less than a Jehovah's witness in a brothel.
  9. Seems like Wilder may want to take the easy fights in the hope Joshua gets old and slow. Did Mayweather ever fight Manny P before that huge fight where they made billions a couple of years ago?
  10. Goodness me, they are in a mess. Choosing the owners to back is like asking whether a fan prefers to have AIDS or cancer. No doubt the FA and football league will do absolutely nothing about this.
  11. Didn't see the game but the 2nd youngest squad there saved the national team from irrelevance. Hopefully a few great players will come from the youth teams in time for Qatar.
  12. Sorry I was thinking of a different player. Ex Man Utd, was at West Brom for a while called Morrison. Again, this is probably wrong, as I've been watching much more of Coventry RFU, and Wasps over recent seasons. I assume this is not the x- Cov City Maddison who is starring at Norwich.
  13. Use a Brillo pad K-Hod. You'd need it. If you want an ill informed, generic view from someone who has not seen much of Rovers live since we were sponsored by CIS insurance, I'll do it. I'll probably swear and make no sense about the state of things, but the comedy lies in that.
  14. Having not watched much Premier league football last season, is Maddison actually worth it, or is there a risk he may be another Etuhu/Murphy?
  15. Sam did a good job at Rovers, and I'd thank him for that but I'm sure the squad he'd assemble would be nowhere near as successful in the tournament and in making the country care about the national team again.
  16. I suppose he highlighted how crap the ownership rules are, and the FA don't like to have their cosy arrangements exposed. Still, it worked out for the best as we'd be long gone after watching potato head puff about the pitch wasting a place in the team along with Cahill, Jones, Baines etc.
  17. We saw the best and worst of Sterling against Sweden. He'd run at players, show great movement, but then mess about on the ball and not see a pass, or shoot with the aggression of Nicholas Parsons offering you a cup of tea.
  18. Are Bolton still owned by that group with Dean Holdsworth? If they are, something about that crowd didn't seem right.
  19. Fact is, Brazil failed, Germany failed, Spain failed, Portugal failed, Uruguay failed, Mexico failed...................England have not yet. So who gives a sweaty minge about how well team X or Y are compared to England, or how Ronaldo or Pussy Neymar are so much better than Lingard. They are at home now watching it on TV. If you want to circle jerk the top players wait until the Champions League starts and buy yourself a Real Madrid shirt. You think Portugal care that they were crap during 95% of Euro 2016? Or Greece in 2004?
  20. Polonium salad for the England team if Russia win tonight though. I'd expect cast iron penalties turned down and a crazy red card for Kane as the ref hears a bunch of scary guys are sitting outside their house.
  21. Maradona and Colombia are crying about the recent game calling it a 'robbery' and the ref was biased. Typical Latin American behaviour-cheat, foul and play with cynicism then act like branded pigs when it doesn't go their way. Seen it with Colombia, Argentina, Panama..... It's on the BBC sport website, just not sure how to link it on this tablet.
  22. It is good to see England players without the baggage, of either being over hyped hollywood stars like Beckham, one last shot of success like many others in recent tournaments and just not been scarred by previous failures. They seem to turn up, try their best and get on with it.
  23. I was a massive critic of the appointment of Southgate, because is stank of jobs for the boys, and he was pants at Boro. However he has done a lot better than capello and hodgson already, and by tomorrow he may have got the team to the quarter finals at least. Perhaps he has studied, and learned from previous errors. Time will tell.
  24. Exactly Tyrone. I'm a season ticket holder at Coventry rugby, and even at the equivalent of league 1 last season some of the tackles were forceful. And it's going to be even harder with the Tongans coming in this coming season.
