Championship 2018-19
Norbert Rassragr replied to Cherry Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Would Villa, or Derby be at risk of a similar thing given all the money they whizzed away? -
Summer Transfer Window 2019
Norbert Rassragr replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
With our women's team doing so well, perhaps it would be a bit awkward having him lurking around the facilities. Especially during the events where kids have a day out with coaches and players to improve their skills. -
Summer Transfer Window 2019
Norbert Rassragr replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Shaun Edwards hasn't been offered a contract by Wigan yet. -
We need someone like Hughes when he was here, but Mark himself seems to have lost it. It went wrong at Stoke, after a good few seasons, and he was poor at Southampton and Fulham. And he had Williams who was a good person to have with regards to the owners. Now we have Waggott, Pasha and Balaji Rao in some strange set up that is never very clear. Hughes was brilliant and I appreciated his efforts here but calls for his return is a bit too heart over head for me. Mind you, no other names really jump out at me.
-
Hughes is a busted flush. Not done anything much since he left here. As for Tony, was the right person at the right time, but has probably done all he can. If we want a serious promotion push, then a new person needs to come in. Do I trust Venkys to get that person in, and not some complete turnip like Coyle? Nope. I can't think of any names at the moment, though Wagner is probably free.

Big load of blond hair? He is a dynamo if it's the one I'm thinking of. The rest of the team seem good, but not half as good as those great players of previous generations. A lot relies on Le Roux and Faf.

Championship 2018-19

Birmingham and Arsenal should have all their points deducted. A draconian approach is needed now, as next time a knife may be involved. -
If there was someone I know is better, available and will put agents and Balaji in their place I'd get rid of Tony. Off the top of my head I can't think of such a manager. The coaches need a shake up too.

Venkys - Welcome or Not?
Norbert Rassragr replied to den's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I know, I was trying to paint a more constructive way of talking than incoherently calling him and his family a shower of s--t who ruined the club like many of us would in this hypothetical situation. And it hasn't snowed for a while. -

As I said before, Bolton gets help, whereas so many other clubs are told off and penalised. And if the next owner rushed through is as dodgy as the last few, they'll be helped again. -
Preston at Home

You quote attendances because the last time Preston achieved anything Queen Victoria was on the throne, and people still went about on horses and trams. -
Maybe he's Punjabi. I have a few Sikh friends and their beards would make hipster vegan brewers envious.

Venkys - Welcome or Not?

If I met Balaji this weekend.........I would try to see how the power dynamics in the VH group members panned out, and what sort of guy he is before paying the cards out ("there's usually only one of those in a pack"). Then I'd try and talk him round to the point of view that a proper board and youth/recruitment structure is important and needs investment. Don't listen to agents and go for some snake oil miracle cure, find the right manager and build the club again. Do a Bournemouth. -
It's rapidly sinking, but there is still a feeling that if Tony was sacked, someone who'd guarantee relegation be be hired. Saying that, Tony is staying since he has all his former associates in the boardroom and beside him. And he has a long contract. We have to hope the squad is rejuvenated and Smallwood and the lesser talents are sold in the summer. There needs to be an aggressive leader in the defence for a start. As for Johnson, I'd like him to have a few spells with foreign and/or lower league teams before risking him as a manager. Create a loan market for coaches first.

Champions League 2018-2019
Norbert Rassragr replied to speeeeeeedie's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Bit like me Rover_shaun. I have a season ticket at Coventry RFU (yes I edge towards union being half Welsh, bitches), and follow Rovers. The Premier league I record the odd game on BT but not really watch it. I have a fondness for Liverpool being a child of the 80s, and Borussia Dortmund as they were the nearest city to where I lived during that time, but I hate real Madrid (Fascist scum), PSG (a small dog in a handbag owned by a Kardashian) and Barcelona (Pep made them pretty home grown, now they are like PSG). I hope Neymar cried out of his mangina after they lost. Shaun Edwards would have minced that ponce. FYI I have done a 10 hour shift as usual but have been on the Jim beam, so apologies for any offence and outrage caused. -

It's sad to think all Ajax's players will be sold next summer and this can't be a revival of an old giant of the game. I loved the team of the De Boer twins, Kluivert, Litmanen etc. -

I have a mental image of Andy Todd running around kicking the opposition's subs up the arse all game. -

Leeds, Southampton, and others have had points deductions and fines for being financially knackered. What makes Bolton so special? It's been going on for ages there. -

Leeds fans can try to be nice and constructive, but ultimately they're nasty Yorkshire puss bags wanting to fight and generally be horrible. A northern Millwall. It must have something to do with being Jimmy Savile's home town. -
Liverpool, as their owner is slightly less scummy than the cheating, slave owning, human rights abusing City owners. City are a plastic team,at least Liverpool were once the top team in my lifetime, I don't know when Man City were more than a mid table team. I don't care about Liverpool not winning the premier league as Sky TV didn't invent football. I also don't like all the fawning and circle jerking over Pep Guardiola.

Maybe they meant the 1890's, when Preston last challenged for a title. -
The tea thread!
Norbert Rassragr replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
Yorkshire tea is my favourite 'everyday' tea bag. Tried Dilmah when I visited relatives in NZ, and that was weak ant's wee. I also like the Chinese types like Iron Buddha, and Oolong that I can get from the many Chinese shops (Coventry Uni has loads of Chinese students). Can't drink coffee though. -

Maybe Mark Venus wants to build some more houses.
