  1. Loving Wolves seemingly bottling it, even if it means Colin's Cardiff might be champions.
  2. I think the players will go, but fans will be advised not to. The FA and related authorities are cowards who'd be happy to go to any dodgy country if the money and prestige is there.
  3. I don't see it with Android Swift myself, she looks like a Tibetan Fox to me, and she is a money grubbing hack. And it might happen, though a lot depends on where Newcastle are, managers and owners' thoughts and asking price.
  4. Yes, I didn't research the exact timing from Cellino to the other Italian (who may be a friend/puppet of Cellino at one point). Like I say Monk may be another Dowie/Bothroyd who had a good first few months and then become pundits or manager of the likes of Coventry, Grimsby or England.
  5. Monk is a funny one. He started off well at Swansea, then it went wrong. Then he got Leeds either to the play offs, or just outside, from a bad position, then it petered out (or was the crazy Italian owner in the mood to sack him?). Finally, he was very average at Boro.
  6. Who can resurrect Birmingham? They're almost as bad as Sunderland, and have been dire since Rowett was sacked.
  7. Well, the authorities are, and a section of fans who follow the Harry Redknapp route of refusing to ever think about learning from other sports or jobs that are not football.
  8. This shows VAR shouldn't be used in football as the people who trial it, and use it are thick as mince. Takes too long, crowd are not informed. Football is too stupid to use it efficiently.
  9. I played the Sim City build it before my tablet died. My city was called Venky's out.
  10. There would have been more attention if Anderson did a job on Man City like he did on us. I do not like agents having so much influence as all they do is take money out of the game, and cause disruption. I would not want Mendes, or Tony Blair's son, or whoever coming in and telling a new owner which players and managers we should sign. Their interests lie elsewhere, they will drain lots of money out the club and turn the club into a personal gravy train.
  11. Exactly what I think. Mendes and the Chinese guys only have to lose interest, and then it will go pop. And it also sounds like the set up is like us and Kentaro in 2010, but with more competence. One or two here were envious of Wolves and wished we had this lot running our club on a 3rd party method. The authorities will do nowt as they get the brown envelopes from the same sources and refuse to see any conflict of interest when the rich agents are involved.
  12. Barry was backing into the keeper on purpose though. So did he foul the keeper?
  13. It needs to be made available on the big screens at modern stadiums (so the crowd can see what is going on), sped up and used as it is in rugby union. The ref says "can you look at that" whilst play goes on. However, since it is football, it has been completely mishandled and all the fans hate it.
  14. As said elsewhere, the Leeds badge looks like it is from one of those computer games that do not have the official rights, and is the badge for 'West Yorkshire Whites'. It is really dire.
  15. I always got the impression that he was a real gentleman when he was on the radio. Like Richie Benaud on TMS.
  16. This is probably off topic, but I was at West Ham years ago when we lost 2-0 to a Hartson led Hammers I swear they piped extra crowd noise to make it sound great.
  17. Morata? Footballers are effing pussies. Pedro can have no complaints.
  18. Cyril Regis and also the lead singer of the Cranberries both dead.
  19. In Australia, we do. It's no coincidence that Starc, Hazelwood, Cummins and Johnson when he played tonked us down under. Their aggression and sheer speed terrified us. Woakes is good in English conditions (or he was finally doing it before that big injury), and Broad is still pretty good at home, but the Kookaburra ball and the pitches don't help swing bowlers. We need a variety of fast bowlers including 90mph+, bouncy, vicious bowlers. Pick the bowlers according to the typical conditions of the foreign tour and not because they are centrally contracted, or can bat a bit.
  20. We needed more of that sort of fast bowling instead of Broad and Woakes. Wood was injured at the wrong time, but surely we have more proper fast, nasty bowlers playing.
  21. Probably why his specialist subject was not Section 28.
  22. Eddie 'fast' Clarke of Motorhead is dead. Only a couple of months older than my dad.
