  1. Alexi Sanchez is a bit out of our price range mate. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if you'd be moaning and complaining if Jesus Christ himself came down from heaven, with Jack Walker to take back the club, and signed a 100 year contract and scored 700 goals a season.I still think you'd be posting cryptic messages about his agent and dwelling on the one sitter he missed against PSG in a 15-0 win in the Champions League final! Please recommend players who you would approve of, are available and would storm this division, because I'm always open to names I have not heard of.
  2. About time, though it should be used like rugby union (not sure how it works in League) and the ref can call the video ref to look at something whilst play goes on (e.g. a dodgy tackle), and incidents whereby the ref can ask 'Is there any reason I Can't award a goal?'
  3. Nice of Cook, Broad and co to turn up once we lost the Ashes. Just in time to save their central contracts.
  4. Finn is too unreliable. 60% of the time he's a buffet bowler. Anyway, it has been bothering me that Steve Smith's face reminds me of someone. I've now realised he looks like a goomba from the Super Mario film with Bob Hoskins. http://i67.tinypic.com/2j3ibdx.jpg
  5. I'd hardly call Trump, Bannon, Johnson and Mogg classy. That is a whole different issue to Blackpool. It seems that the authorities have a 'divide and conquer' startegy with clubs with dodgy owners. We are ignored and isolated, as are Coventry City, Blackpool and all the other clubs. The dodgy influences that get rich from the chaos try their best to hush up the crisis, and the FA/football league/Premier league happily go along with it as they don't want to perform surgery on their golden goose.
  6. Broad is one of those untouchables who will never be dropped. He should have gone quite a while ago as he only produces one or two insanely effective sessions every year (e.g. the 8/15 during the last Ashes). He can't bowl to the tail end, can't bat and has no bowling brain.
  7. I'll be gracious and say well done on winning the Ashes Australia. The English game needs to be completely redesigned, reformed and revamped. Take it out of the gentleman's clubs and public schools, scrap all the committees and jobs for the boys. Immediately, I would drop Broad, Ali and Woakes. And I think being captain has destroyed Root's batting.
  8. As my last name is not Romanov, I'd be OK. Mind you, I don't think I'd fit in if I went to Russia.
  9. The last FIFA game I played was probably 1995 or 1996 on the Mega Drive. Tried to play it again a while ago and could not get my head round the controls.
  10. I wish we had a bowler who could clean up the tail/lower middle order.
  11. England seem to have got worse as the game progressed. Hopefully that will change next game. Our batsmen can't handle real fast, nasty pace as all our bowlers are that 5 mph or so slower.
  12. I think some may like a band called crystal fairy.
  13. I love robot wars, and I am a complete tool with engineering. That carbide looks formidable, much like that hypnodisc in the last incarnation. I wish it wasn't on at the same time as blue planet II. Caught parts of snowfall, and it is good. Really good. It is a bit like city of God which is a masterpiece.
  14. 1 belt against 3 must count for something. Like you say the heavyweight division has been dominated by Europe for years. Haye, the Klitschko brothers, Valuev, and so on. I think Wilder is trying to engineer the fight to a place his fixers can pick their ideàl judges and crowd. A bit like how Mayweather didn't fight Manny P until the latter was in decline.
  15. I second that. Way before my time but it really is good and explains how the USA got bogged down in Vietnam.
  16. Looks like a Latvian hooker. Haha. Some people suit tattoos, but I wouldn't. And they face so if you get one young, it might be there for 50 years. And as a general rule if people have a tattoo on their face, they've usually been barred from wetherspoons for glassing someone and like that 9% polish lager.
  17. Wilder has been very vocal, calling out Joshua for a fight in the USA. I don't know if wilder is the real deal or not, but banging on about Joshua being a little girl for fighting in Britain and then saying he should go to his home country because the UK is tiny and the USA is huge would look silly if he got spanked.
  18. Sadly nowt will happen. The 'good chaps' at the various bodies will all meet up and coordinate a plan where they don't have to actually do anything and it will all be quiet. After all, what do they care about 3rd or 4th tier clubs? They're not on telly around the world.
  19. Just entered now, and I'll forget about it by September. Remind me to log in in May to see how badly I did. 2 girls 1 Shlupp is a great name by the way.
  20. I am reluctant to implicate Souness in any dodgy business, but I remember that the agent with the surname McKay was often mentioned during that time, and he had other clients who were linked to us, and may (or may not) have signed. Ferguson seemed like a massive con which is a same as I think he had the talent to succeed south of the border.
  21. The whole transfer was a con. Turns up with a big fee and wages, with Souness' favourite agent (Mr. McKay). Then he pretends to be homesick for his crappy part of Scotland within a year so he moves back to Rangers for a similar amount, probably with the same agent.Barry gets a share of the fee, as does McKay and probably Souness too.
  22. So it is at the Ricoh? As things stand, it is going to be the last season there, and the club are desperately trying to find land or another stadium to buy off someone. They've tried to muscle in on Butt's Park Arena (home of Coventry Rugby), but a ground share may happen rather than SISU buying the stadium outright.
