  1. It could be either.
  2. If he, or another player is genuinely good enough, then ok. If is a very important word in this whole situation. My scepticism makes me think we may see a few more 'Portugeezer' style signings.
  3. He looks the sort that thinks a good night out is a few lines, 20 pints of Carling and a fight with a taxi driver.
  4. "You lot, stay where you deserve to be. And put those trophies in the bin." https://images.app.goo.gl/JciRWxYsUC68UKdh6
  5. No doubt that the few games in league 2 that sky show will be theirs. And don't forget Skybet also sponsor the league.
  6. I would dispute that study. I have awful co-ordination, was never any good at sport and so on.
  7. Salford now a league club. The media bang on about the class of '92, but it is Peter Lim owns 40%. He also owns Valencia and I think gave Gary Neville a managerial job briefly. So they'll be the lower league Man City for a while.
  8. Jay Bothroyd and Leon Best are coming back on Bosmans. You did say make up a rumour.
  9. Probably need a commanding keeper and defender along with a striker good enough so we can rest or even replace Graham at the very least. Also need a left back and maybe a decent midfielder if Smallwood, and Rodwell leave.
  10. I think the Raya comment is more about the dynamic between him and the Canadian goalie, rather than any new keeper. I hope so anyway. I remain sceptical about the Ruddy rumours, as we all know a transfer budget is usually agreed long into the window by Venkys after manager x or y has made the pilgrimage to Pune.
  11. Shame Ajax couldn't quite make the final before they end up selling all their players. I bet they'll be out at the group stage next season. I suppose Spurs getting there is a change from the usual Real Madrid/Barca/same old team finals that are so predictable. By the way, my hatred for Spurs stems from their arrogant dismissal of us prior to the Worthington cup win.
  12. It's quite easy. spurs have won the league twice. We have won it 3 times, but winning the CL is a bigger thing than winning a domestic league. Do you understand now?
  13. I hope they don't. Then they have no chance of winning the cup, and they'll still be a smaller, less successful club than Blackburn Rovers in terms of trophies. We've won the league more times, but a CL win would top that.
  14. Didn't know that, but it's funded by TV money and the Russian guy. Not the largest ground ever, but probably the biggest they can realistically fill.
  15. Bournemouth are also owned by a Russian oligarch, so they can cope with a small stadium and fan base.
  16. Your last sentence is pretty much what I am saying. And that Hart is pretty crap. Been to a few clubs since Citeh, and always bungled things up. Torino didn't want him, West Ham were not keen, and now Burnley decided he was not good enough. Considering he is probably on something like 50,000 p/w, we can do better than some washed up has been with no confidence trading on past glories. He is no Friedel, not now.
  17. Hart is over paid clown pants. He'd be the highest paid player and not that much better than Raya.
  18. Sammy is almost as bad as his older brother. And he was rubbish. That would be a signing for a club happy with our current position in the league.
  19. Agents, employment agencies in regular work etc. are everywhere and you have to deal with the twerps sadly. You can make a stand against using them, or a certain agency but as it has been pointed out they have affiliates, sub-contracted people and so on. It's probably why Mike Newell never got another job after Luton. He pointed out the insidious nature of these people.
  20. Bassini is starting to look like a very dodgy version of Michael Knighton. Soon he'll claim to see UFOs outside the Bolton stadium.
  21. So this season's Barca team look like they will play next season's signings. Hope Ajax win.
  22. Westwood is ex Coventry City as well, though at an earlier time than Mowbray.
  23. Hart is pants, and his wages will be way too high to be value for money.
  24. Put me down for Rodwell in as well. Bin Smallwood, Bennett and Evans to make room on the wage bill. That is not to say he should have all those wages.
  25. Darker blue, with alternating sleeves for me. The blue being the same as the 1994/5 season shirt.
