  1. Far more likeable team and coach than city. Funny though 10 years ago I was sat with my house mates cheering for city to stop united winning the league.
  2. Very early for villa to be winning though! Would love city to end the season with nothing.
  3. I'd say the most surprising thing about this story is that he's 17. What they been putting in his breakfast?
  4. It's set to be a cracker of a final day. For me there's a feeling that Liverpool could do it. City had a stumble against West ham when they could have put it out of reach and Liverpool win the FA Cup, mentally there's a swing in momentum. Add in the Gerrard and countinho at villa doing Liverpool a favour, the script it written.
  5. Yeah been fortunate to get easy teams like Germany in the knockouts. Gareth was lucky he didn't get drawn against the absolute titans of Iceland like Roy did
  6. Not Jake Daniels but on the same theme. Gueye (ironically given his name) refused to play for PSG because there shirts had pride colour's on their numbers. Comments on the article about it show just how far football fans / society has to come. I haven't seen anything negative towards Daniels (although no doubt there will be) but it just highlights there is the undercurrent there. Wonder how gueye would react if his team mates refused to wear an anti racism message on their shirts?
  7. Hopefully the reaction is positive and it encourages others to come out
  8. My uncle said the same - "Ukraine could come out and shit on stage and still win"
  9. One I read was along the lines of "I know it's a joke mate but you're implying you had respect for the taliban in the first place"
  10. Mowbray is contracted till end of June, what worries me about the venkys is that they might think that they don't need a new manager in place until then.
  11. So what if all the talk in summer was about relegation. By Jan we were second, expectations change. Having teams make up 19 points is unacceptable no matter where you are in the league or the expectations you have.
  12. 10, 11? points clear of 7th at Xmas and we finish 6 points adrift even with half our competition doing their best to miss out. Vintage mowbray performance. Good riddance
  13. Woodgate? Is that some kind of ploy to make the fans ask for mowbray to stay? Has waggot leaked that so that giving Tony a surprise new contract isn't the worst thing we hear this week?
  14. The reffing I will agree was odd. He seemed to give equally bizzare decisions to both sides though I felt. Injury time in extra time was a joke though, how it was only 3 minutes I don't know! And he blew 10 seconds early.
  15. The analogy is skewed. We've got a dim flickering light bulb, just about does the job but gives you a headache. We can replace it but only with one from a box that has been chucked into the backalley from the second floor window of the local hardware store. Be damned if I'm going into Wilkos to buy one! Also the light bulb has to be willing to fly out to India atleast once a year and have it's plans to light the room thoroughly scrutinised which not all good light bulbs are willing to do.... I think the metaphor has run out of stream. For clarity I think we should have got rid ages ago and I welcome a fresh face but it's a bit of a leap into the unknown. Which I guess is no different to other clubs but we do like to scrape the barrell with our appointments.
  16. My view on mowbrays reign is that the club is in a better place now than when he found it. He's not a bad manager just very limited and its time to move on. He took us as far as he could and doesn't have what it takes to get us out of this division. As I say not a bad manager but not a good one, just OK. We can do better however we can do a lot lot worse we only need to cast our minds back to kean, the shit that came after him and the stage between bowyer and mowbray. The list of potential candidates puts this front and centre. Whilst we could find the right guy and we push on, we could also land another Owen coyle. Its time for Tony to move on no doubt but we might be back on the manager merry go round again. Here's hoping we're not here in 2 years begging for mowbray back.
  17. Robbie Fowler at 33/1. What a couple that would he's managed teams such as Brisbane Roar and East Bengal!!!
