  1. Absolute shambles. The play off race ended a couple of matches before the end of the season. At that point it was nailed on that TM was going, how on earth are we still doing interviews a few days before the players return??
  2. Nations league is good to replace some pretty dire friendlies during the international break but for god sake let these players have a summer off. I know they're paid very handsomely for it but some players basically get 3 weeks or so off before starting back in pre season. I've seen players and managers comes out and have a pop at Nations league. Bad idea needs scrapped / changed
  3. I had this thought too. DoF can do the India visits (why they can't do video calls is beyond me) at any time of the year and have everything in place for when the transfer window opens.
  4. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20195573.blackburn-rovers-dof-gregg-broughton-will-implement-vision-owners/ Making all the right sounds. Atleast he says the ambition is premier league that's a refreshing change from mowbrays "Premier league? Blackburn? LOL! NO" stance
  5. I thought that right from the first replay. Miles offside. Also, he's not getting that ball even if he's not fouled. Still, will take that all day long
  6. I don't get the hype of the royal family but the weekend has surely lifted the spirits of a fair few flagshaggers all over the country. Next bonus bank holiday when liz snuffs it - which I don't think will be long.
  7. This is the formation I wanted to see. Only just switched it on, how is it going? Is Mount playing on the left of a front three? That feels like a bit of shoehorning
  8. Mata, pogba and lingard on a free..... errrrr my highly confidential inside source say its practically a done deal.
  9. Very easy game until it gets to Tony or Gonorrhoea and then we have a decision to make.
  10. I don't mind a new manager taking us on a journey. My issue with Mowbrays journey was we had to turn round about 5 times and start again and the bus kept breaking down on account of the wheels being square and the driver falling asleep at the wheel.
  11. The final is rarely the best game of the CL
  12. If its a deflection he's offside if he's played it he's onside. Needlessly complicated.
  13. I'm guessing that "who played the ball" wasn't a clear and obvious error so they went with the onfield decision.
  14. I think we need to go 3 at the back with Rice and Bellingham in front of the back 3. Then we can play with wing backs - TAA and James are devastating going forwards so it wouldn't be an overly defensive switch imo.
  15. I'm with you on that one completely. It's a fine balance between picking your favourite 11 england players regardless of club form and completely changing the squad each time it's announced to pick which ever player is having a good month. I think Gareth generally does this quite well. The back 5 is fairly stable and he goes with his tried and tested where as the forward positions where you can afford a bit more rotation, he tends to hand out caps like confetti.
  16. This! I appreciate this so much. The other one is all these 6 yard tap ins they get - used to be just called "a poachers goal" now its peps magic. But you're right it will be distance directional passing to the guy with vertical dominance where as under the likes of big Sam it's called "lump it up to the lanky prick"
  17. If Liverpool win the quadruple, utd fans would still boast that they've never won the treble
  18. She's not a scouser though thank god! Just a Liverpool fan. But she's not the main reason I prefer Liverpool over city.
  19. Far more likeable team and coach than city. Funny though 10 years ago I was sat with my house mates cheering for city to stop united winning the league.
  20. Very early for villa to be winning though! Would love city to end the season with nothing.
  21. I'd say the most surprising thing about this story is that he's 17. What they been putting in his breakfast?
  22. Wonder if that's why mowbray never walked?
  23. It's set to be a cracker of a final day. For me there's a feeling that Liverpool could do it. City had a stumble against West ham when they could have put it out of reach and Liverpool win the FA Cup, mentally there's a swing in momentum. Add in the Gerrard and countinho at villa doing Liverpool a favour, the script it written.
  24. Yeah been fortunate to get easy teams like Germany in the knockouts. Gareth was lucky he didn't get drawn against the absolute titans of Iceland like Roy did
