  1. If we had some money and the club finally decided to invest a bit of cash in the defence, I would be looking to sign Taylor Moore from Bristol City. Is in the last year of his contract and is not a starter at the club - so could be looking for a move. He is a ball playing CB, young, played for England right up to U20 level - so ticks a lot of TM boxes. Can also play RB so ideal whenever TM decides to publically hang Nyambe out to dry. He is third choice at BC but i get the feeling he wants playing time now. I get that feeling as he was suddenly loaned out in January to Blackpool on deadline day (who loans out their 3rd choice CB unless he has pushed for it himself as wants more playing time?). I know a few Blackpool fans and they said he was absolute class for them, so much so that WBA have been linked with him. Couple of mil should do it i reckon We all know it wont happen though.
  2. A few interested buyers of Sunderland. CEO of RICH Energy drinks has claimed he has bid. Michael Gray, ours and theirs former player, is also leading a consortium apparently.
  3. Think somebody said Travis was in Spain, Chaddy i think.
  4. Many saying he only scored 4 goals this season. Yeah because he only played from the bench mainly. Would be a good signing for them on a free. Will score goals aplenty at that level as we already know. If they can find a Dack too, they might just get out of that league.
  5. And this season he is best keeper in league, could get promoted and now linked to top PL teams. Says more about our handling of him than just "he is shyte". Says sometyhing about your opinion too. He had a bad injury last season if you remember but anyone can see the lad was big potential.
  6. Had been at the club since 16? if I recall correctly. This club is all he had known through his young adult life. He finally makes the number one jersey his own and then just decides he wants to leave? No chance, like you say, he left because of the treatment he received.
  7. Yup, I will be fuming if this comes true, so hopefully even the owners would. You sell a homegrown keeper with huge potential for 3 million one season (to a club renowned for excellent recruitment at buying young potential and polishing them up and selling them on for huge fees) and the next he is sold for 3x that amount to a top PL team. All just to fund the transfer of a non-scoring striker to play on the wing. We didnt even replace him with a keeper anywhere near as good (or permanently). You really couldnt make it up. And before anyone says Raya wanted to leave, so would you if you were regularly hung out to dry in the press by your manager and had the coach that he did. He had suffered a really nasty injury and that obviously contributed to a loss of confidence. Instead of being reassured and shown some belief, the manager does his usual act of telling the world what Raya should and shouldnt be doing. By all accounts, Brentford fans love him and think he is one of their best ever keepers. Read their boards.
  8. If that is true, I am not the type of guy to say I told you so but I TOLD YOU SO. Not you specifically but the likes of Sparks that has never rated Raya.
  9. The video clip posted on Twitter showed him wearing ripped jeans - has to be why he didnt get a 1-year extension.
  10. Jack Colback (30, been on loan at forest for past couple years) Ben Henerghan (Once linked) Nathanial Clyne (Just 29 but would a PL team take a risk with him due to his serious recent injuries?) Lyle Taylor (Is this the guy scoring for fun earlier in the season)
  11. Id take Ming-Yang Yang purely for the name.
  12. Might as well start off the Marcus Maddisson yearly discussion.
  13. Ha, not sure on Downing? Think we all know that you will agree with the clubs decision either way. Thats how you're programmed. Go on, form an opinion of your own, it can be quite enlightening. Would you renew SD for another year?
  14. I think some are being a bit harsh on Downing, has he not been one of our better players this season? I agree his form dropped off after the lockdown but not to the extent that he was suddenly appalling. Pre-lockdown he was firmly in the running for player of the season. You also have to remember that in true TM style he was shunted all over the place (although I always thought it was a good idea to have him at LB over the other dross we have there). I think, at the right price, he is worth keeping for a season certainly over the likes of Bennett, Smallwood etc).
  15. Samba was a good player and we made his career but he is not a club legend. Matty isnt either but could have been if it wasnt for that accident. Tugay and Freidal are the most recent club legends in my book.
  16. Would surely a be a number 2 - especially considering that article says he would be number two at Ipswich.
  17. Have to agree, you cannot pick players for a greatest club side for what 'might have been' or 'what could have been', it has to be on what they did in that clubs shirt. Wasnt a lot in the end albeit down to injury initially. He would get into the Rovers greatest flops side though, even though he was obviously a good player on his day.
  18. Whoscored.com says that one of Dacks weaknesses is passing - so I would take that site with a pinch of salt. That said, it also says that Brereton has no strengths.
  19. Even for Wigan he has only played 9 times. Not sure if it is due to injuries or not being deemed good enough but either way there must be better, even on a free.
  20. Yeah, I might have been harsh with Hanley as I did say he was the best of the three. One that was probably deserving of a place.
