  1. Poor treatment (being singled out) and being played out of position will have put an end to him coming here permanently. I agree that Johnson is nothing on Reed and we should have brought him back in if possible. As mentioned though, he was never going to come here after that - despite us putting a late bid in for him. Now he is earning rave reviews at Fulham playing in the position he was told he had to learn from Evans and Smallwood while here.
  2. My guess is it is something to do with the club being 150 years old in 6 years time.
  3. Didnt Buttner just go to an MLS side last week? Would love Coentrao but worried as to why he has no club at 31.
  4. I agree, just saying that if TM has to play him (which many of us would argue he shouldn't), that i would prefer it to be in one of those two positions.
  5. Exactly, you don't see many columnists coming out and writing articles about sections of people that have the gall to disagree with them. The guy needs some thick skin. He obviously is bothered despite claiming he isn't.
  6. Bennett has given away two penalties in as many games and is heavily targetted when playing RB or LB. Shouldnt be starting for a while at least. If he did have to start, CM possibly or on the RW/Defensvie winger position.
  7. Based on his last appearance, yes. Based on the others, not so sure though we do need numbers back there of course so possibly still a yes. Certainly has potential but the common consensus with WBA fans was he was better as a DM. You can see why too, he can pass and is a bit more adventurous while his defensive abilities I am not totally convinced about yet. He also played RB a bit for them. As for if he would come, again, not sure. He seems to have lofty ambitions of breaking into the City team. Cost? depends on how much City rate him but we did get Davenport, another promising kid from them for fairly cheap.
  8. So just another left back then - possibly. Plus the usual bigging up of the opponents team just to give our players some confidence and motivation.
  9. Befits with our league position though tbh. The amount of shots we concede compared to top teams will surely mean he saves some of them. Find shots to saves ratio's such as the one posted on here last season that had Raya third best in the league and then we can talk. Stats can be twisted in all ways. I prefer facts in that Walton was dropped for Wigan last season and they decided against bringing him back for this one. They are one of few teams worse than us.
  10. Doesnt matter, he's obviously not bothered if people dont agree with him.
  11. So not bothered he created an account here to tell us he aint bothered before then writing an article about how unbothered he is.
  12. Hilarious. Seriously, you believed that? After scoring he looked at the note and showed it to Graham, surely there would have been smiles on their faces?
  13. Much better money but a big managerial risk career wise. he will probably stay and try to further his reputation. I do not think he will be at Preston long though (unless they get up), more stable bigger fish will soon come calling.
  14. Cracking scenes at the end, Buckley will always remember that moment. Thought Tosin was brilliant, Holtby was assured without being as effective as his last performance (perhaps he has been Mobrayed for the last couple of weeks) and Nyambe again showed why it has been a travesty he has been overlooked. We needed that, for confidence if anything else. Still think TM has taken us as far as we can go and that we need a new manager with new ideas.
  15. He also didn't time waste when we needed a goal.
  16. Whatever a reserve side is called these days, its purpose is the same.
  17. Thats the sad thing. Its almost expected now. We could be 4 up and i would still not be confident of winning.
  18. True, its a balancing act. Just trying to curb joe on his opinion that it should only be used for kids that have not played for the 1st team. Primarily, it is there to benefit our first team. Kids, fringe players or maybe even Ben Gladwin one day.
  19. Exactly, where might we be if they just spent that 200 million as soon as they came in? Well, under that bald non-dog owning twat, maybe worse off lol
  20. Well, im in agreement there. Just saying its down to the managers how they use the reserve side/games in how it benefits the first team squad. Whether they make the right decisions is another kettle of fish.
  21. Think there is some confusion as to what a reserve side is there for. Its primary purpose is to postively effect our first team. Whether thats to bring through academy players or provide fitness, recouperation or simply some minutes for fringe players, is up to the managers. Winning leagues and points are all secondary. Its nice for sure, but beneffiting the first team is by far and away the priority. We have a squad of first team players, some cannot make the team, others need fitness etc. Mols and the rest will get their chance if they prove themselves good enough over time ala Travis. As for Chapman being signed for the first team, go read TMs interview when he signed him.
