  1. Exactly, he probably came here thinking he would be getting more opportunities than he did at Boro. He might as well have just stayed there.
  2. Development squads are used for fitness and/or injury management as well. You seem to have quite a lot of hate for Chapman and lesser so Davenport. Both have had their early careers hampered by injury and perhaps their exposure to the u23s is more to build them up so that they are ready to come into the first team and less likely to break down again in an important match. Davenport was one of city's highest rated youngsters, Burton fans said he has one of the best debuts they had ever seen. They loved him there. Chapman, we have all see what he can do and is a bums off the seat kind of player - bemused why TM signed him though as he doesn't like that type of player seemingly.
  3. Not really sure I buy into this supposed progress that we have made. We were relegated, got straight back up - well done. Obviously having kept hold of all of our players and splashed out more than any other team in L1 on new ones. Before we were relegated, we were not that much worse off than we are now in this division - difference was we hadnt spent circa 15+ million in two seasons. Last season was decent purely because of promotion bounce and teams not yet figuring us out, once they did we have since been performing at relegation form. We are now about to hit the bottom three as i cannot see us picking up many points out of the next few matches. if this form then continues, we have a good chance of finding ourselves back in L1 and you can bet we will be losing players this time. Talks a good game (not so much recently), gets on with the owners and is a nice chap - thats the only positives.
  4. Has he gone yet? Okay ill check in again tomorrow.
  5. Irony is that we now expect this to happen. it has happened too many times under the tenure of TM. I just knew that we would at least concede and that once that happened, there was more chance of us losing than winning. Go in at half time 0-2 up and somehow he manages to voodoo the team into putting a complete opposite performance.
  6. Funny reading the Nobbers forums. They say the difference is that we have a decent centre forward. Also, they have a LB playing CB - well, so do we so huh
  7. "He's just what we needed. He's like Hunts and Storey in one - Dominant in the air yet composed on the ball (better on the ball than Storey, mind).I've seen a few reports that Bauer is just your typical old fashion centre half who heads it and kicks it but he's much more than that imo." How we managed to let him slip through our fingers after chasing him for over a year still amazes me.
  8. He had 10 mil budget the season before last, they halfed that for this season (we even had to offload Raya to pay for most of Gallacher)...tells me they didnt want to give Mowbray the same amount after Brereton. With that in mind, id expect a budget of 2.5 million int he summer as punishment for wasting more money this time around.
  9. Needs to learn his positioning like Holtby does - needs to look at how Evans and Smallwood plays.
  10. Make it happen Roversfan!!!! Buck stops with you, no excuses.
  11. I was merely answering a question as to wheter Mowbray has walked before. That said, he left Coventry bottom of league 1 with something like no win in 10 (later admitting he wished he bought the CB they needed ?). In the 3.5 years since he left Coventry are now 4th in that league and have an outside chance of leapfrogging us. Think that says it all. Budgets dont always mean a lot down there or in our dicision either... It comes down to the manager and coaching staff alot of the time.
  12. Change needs to happen now. We are only 3/4 points off the relegation spots and it is difficult to see where the next points are coming from. One thing for sure is that under TM we wont be picking many of them up. He might only be partially responsible for our last relegation to L1 but this one will solely be on him.
  13. Has had only one game where I thought he looked decent and an improvement on Raya. Just so slow to release the ball, wont kick it out of hand. Sometimes it is so slow it looks like it is him trying to run the clock down rather than the opposition when we are trying to grab a goal. Raya might have been a bit erratic when doing this but at least he did it. And for a big guy, he really isnt very commanding of his area.
  14. Also, he screams ripped jeans to me, so why was he signed in the first place?
  15. That dummy back heel would have made me laugh if i wasnt busy trying to stick my tongue in the plug sockets.
  16. Midfield was awful today. Usually they are our strongest aspect yes, but when they have an off day too, we look atrocious. Walton, i know people lamented Raya's distribution but at least he got it out of his hands and up the field.
  17. In my opinion he should have gone then and possibly a few games before this one this season too.
  18. Should have been done many games ago - we missed a trick in not getting the Cowley brothers. Seeing them on the touchline against Huddersfield was refreshing to see. We need somebody like that.
