  1. I think that their physicality at a young age gives them better hope of cutting it when they eventually play mens football. Even they are no longer quite as physically impressive against kids their age. One criticism of Buckley has been that he is very lightweight and doesn't yet have the physicality.
  2. Yup we often get a bit of a nosebleed when we have a chance of creeping into the playoff positions in this division. Really hope this is not the case this time. We have some older more experienced heads this time around, so hopefully they can help us to push on.
  3. Norwich will of course be paying bigger wages, they were in the PL not long before last season. Sheff Utd example still stands in my book, they came up from the League 1 the season before we did. i think the argument is that it can be done without spending huge sums of money with the correct coaching/managerial setup.
  4. Who got banned then? Was Bigdog one, not seen him around for a little while.
  5. Not disputing that but we all know Gallagher was on large wages at Southampton. 25k often gets touted. Even if he agreed to a bit less I would wager he is still among our top earners. Just saying that I have a feeling that the players that came in are on bigger wages than what we had here before and thus they are putting Dack back up at the top.
  6. I reckon he probably was previously until we brought in the likes of Downing, Gallagher, Holtby and perhaps Johnson.
  7. Any win away from home in this league is a great result. In fact i would say in any league it is. DO the business at home and throw in a few of these good away performances and you will be there or thereabouts.
  8. Carlise he got one but yes, he doesnt get many from outside the box. his goals are about late runs into the box.
  9. I think Gallagher has potential as the lone man. Big guy, fairly pacey, he certainly has the tools. He does need to start scoring more though but I think they are really going to keep persevering with him. Think DG is now understudy and he was always going to have to be phased out at some point.
  10. Didnt you say Ipswich were right to bin off McCarthy because they played dull football?
  11. 4th in the form table from the last 6 games. I would expect wins from the next two at home.
  12. Well he does mix up his teams doesnt he? I hev not got one selection right since he has been here. As for the bolded bit - would you criticise him when he does not make a popular choice in terms of lineup and we lose? I have never seen a negative word from you - at all. So for you to then come on here post-event and then attack others, is low dude. Nail your flag to the mast pre-match like some do here, suggest who you want to see, why you dont want other players in the team - if not, shut up, and stop nailing others for it. You launched into the armchair experts about Armstrong as your intitial post and then into Evans, both payers you yourself suggested would not have been in your starting eleven. So why are you now throwing that in the faces of people that questioned their place?
  13. Not sure you will find either from me and im not sure i have seen anyone suggest he picked a team through luck. TM of course deserves the credit for putting together an away win, not sure anyone really has criticized him in that manner. Of course people will question teams at the start of matches but what i find odd is those, like you, that will not comment at the starting lineup but wait until the end so that they can attack those that did. Had we lost, you wouldn't be anywhere to be seen. To further my post, you seem to agree that AA and Evans would not have been in your own starting eleven. So why are you attacking others for suggesting so before the start of the match?. At least they had the balls to put it down on here. You just wait till the end and then attack anyone that questions the lineup - a lineup that in your own wors you would have not selected.
  14. 2 goals in 25 games would certainly warrant some kind of criticism of Arma though wouldn't you agree? Scored a great goal today but you cannot come on here shoving peoples noses in it when in general, he has been pretty poor in the Championship. I hope he continues but the number of chances he has missed, the amount of times he has mistimed his runs (must be the most offside player in the league) - what we should all just say its ok? As for Evans, only seems to play when he really has to. Hence end of contract coming soon or being put down the pecking order. Put in a great display just like he did before the end of his last contract when in Div 3, now he is rarely getting a game and his next payday is on his mind. Further, if Evans would consistently play like he did today, he wouldnt find himself down the pecking order that TM now has in mind. Just further clarifies what i am saying. Plays when he wants/needs to.
  15. Cunningham is certainly solid and offers more than what we currently have so would definitely welcome him to stay. As for Dack, its one of those situations of whether we match his ambitions. If we are among top 6 and he can see that as a team we are getting better, he might just sign on. What I would say, is that we are slightly progressing to being less dependent on him - which is a good move.
  16. Couple of winnable home games in a row - especially the next one and we could be knocking on the door.
  17. Luton up next and they just got hammered at their place.
  18. Come on lads - hang on to this and its two home games coming up next.
  19. First time Dack has scored in 3 consecutive matches right?
  20. Was very impressed with him - great passion for the club.
  21. Likes to be a bit divisive this Joe fella.
  22. That was the primary reason he was not kept at Hamburg despite the fans wanting him there. His wages were pretty big and they decided they didnt want to keep paying them. You would imagine they are a bit more sensible in Germany with the wages paid over here but are they comparable to what our wage budget provides for as a Championship club? Could also have been a signing on sweetener involved as well to keep his wages down and in line with the rest (though id imagine he would be among the top earners).
  23. Caused a bit of a shock this signing...fans from other Championship clubs are in disbelief. Really hope he lives up to all this as if he does we have a real player on our books. Tottenham fans and Fulham fans loved him.
