  1. I've been told that Boswell's info isn't accurate (as far as any deal agreed but perhaps interest) though he could always respond to me on Twitter and refute that. Do people think the club would have put him on the pitch if he was due to be sold? Also I like to think the players were upset afterwards because they feels he's vital to Rovers chances. Not because it's spoilt an opportunity to leave.
  2. Speaking of this both City and Man United have agreed to reduced away allocations (same as EPL) for the Carabao Cup Semi finals. Announced just before Christmas with no consultation between police and fan groups. Fans obviously not happy. City have a cup scheme and I wouldn't be surprised if Man United have one. There would be more pressure on Lancashire police for games like the Liverpool one if other forces are less stringent. So stuff like this does not help.
  3. Maybe I'll do that next year. By the way if you book hotels in Las Vegas look out for unexpected "resort fees". They aren't popular at all.
  4. Either that or he's got a low pain threshold.
  5. PCL then. People usually prefer to use the initials not the full phrase. It's an easy error. Also ACL is in the middle of the knee albeit closer to front than back.
  6. ...and it was probably the biggest game of the season for them barring what might happen last few games. Sometimes there's a noticeable improvement in such cases. That said their performance was nothing special.
  7. That header in 2nd half was virtually straight at him. All it took was a standing jump.
  8. While I'm no physiotherapist Dack was clutching his kneecap. ACL is at the back of the knee.
  9. Whelan should condemn it but he never said anything in past either. I suppose it's not impossible Dack would have been sold in January but far from definite.
  10. Or the police decided and club just bowed down to them.
  11. I can't see them sacking him until Rooney has been in team for a while. They have pinned so many hopes on him. If he's underwhelming then that's surely going to be it for Cocu.
  12. That would be humiliating and unnecessary. Sheffield Wednesday didn't sell out much when they were in the EPL. Don't hear them talk about reducing capacity.
  13. Sheffield Wednesday "siege mentality" over FUP. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/sheffield-wednesday-developing-siege-mentality-over-financial-fight-with-efl-1-10165826
  14. Club that Whelan built VS the club that Jack rebuilt. Colossal difference.
  15. Well you did say it as if it was live.
  16. There were protests against Fox just before previous manager was sacked as well. Bit pathetic in comparison to the Walker Family Influenced Trust. Were most people involved then rather than attacking the protesters as with Kean/Venkys? Still it wasn't a surprise for some when Jack took over. I can remember some people saying they knew about it months beforehand. If he had taken over officially at Christmas 1990 (17th January when it did) what a present that would have been.
  17. How often did Rovers have live games on radio then? If it kicked off at a different time to everyone else that's another matter but wasn't so typical then. I know Radio Lancashire (formerly Blackburn) didn't open until 1971. Were there any local radio stations (besides hospital radio) covering games before that? So what's the worst Christmas memory for some? Being robbed at Old Trafford in 1993? That Sunderland boxing day game was awful trying to remember anything worse.
  18. Speaking of marketing the club have just advertised for a new "head of commercial" position. So presumably Greg Coar's title has shortened/changed or he's leaving/left. You should send this to whoever the new hire is on their first day.
  19. Rubbish and yet there's no easy games? Winning and playing badly isn't always a bad sign. Successful teams usually have a few games where they play badly and get the win. As opposed to playing badly and losing,
