  1. Think Tomlinson was Chorleys player of the season last year. However in recent weeks he has lost his place in the starting eleven to Joe Nolan. It has also been rumoured he returned at the start of the season a stone over weight. Hope he can knuckle down to fight for his place.
  2. Matt Derbyshire now36 reunited with Mark Hughes on an 18 month contract at Bradford
  3. A successful manager or head coach identifies their players strengths and develops a system to maximize this. They do not impose a system that the players cannot adapt to.
  4. V,s now in to the tune of 216million 6 mill allocated for incoming transfers most of which spent in the summer. 3 mil investment in hitlab an unlisted canadian company. Profit includes armstrong and training ground sales without those running at loss of 20 mill plus
  5. Comparison to a mini are disrespectful to the mini. These away performances are more like a lada never gets out of first gear
  6. A return to the red and black striped away shirt for next season ala ac Milan would be most welcome
  7. I've come to the conclusion JDT is an old school Italian manager. Get in the lead and half way through the second half go ultra defensive and protect it at all costs and see the game out. Certainly seems to be working at home. Just needs to find a solution to the away form with greater consistency and the world is our oyster.
  8. The ripped jeans lad was playing for Walsall at the time. Think the surname began with O. Think he signed for Bolton. All could be completely wrong.
  9. The style of play is to knock it around at the back until the diagonal wide striker is in space and then play the diagonal. If the pass is successful move up field to support the wide striker in possession and then look to play a ball inside the full back. It's completely one dimensional and prone to breakdown with misplaced passes consequently there is no end product. Without a focal point to the attack who can retain the ball to bring others into play the ball will continue to be turned over. Until JDT grasps this we can expect many more performances like Wigan away. It seems JDT has been on the same coaching courses as Tony Mowbray. Which would you prefer Sam's percentage football or JDT's one dimensional tripe?
  10. Jacob Davenport signed for Lincoln. Nathan Delfounesco signed for Accrington
  11. Clearly a tongue in cheek response from roversfan to an earlier post
  12. Watched Annesley in the pre season game at Chorley. Looked around his level. He is 22 now and only been on loan with Woking. You have to wonder why he is still here?
  13. What stands out for me is that so far Ash has not been prone to the reckless challenge which is so common with centre half's. Quite remarkable for such a young player.
  14. Difficult to catch up if you fall behind at the start of a season due to not playing. Rovers 65/66 comes to mind. At least Coventry can play away games would make sense to swap these home games to an away fixture but I guess that's too simple
  15. Joe Nolan released by Rovers has joined the ranks of ex Rovers at Chorley
  16. So we have never beaten Hartlepool in a competitive match in league or cup.
  17. I see Leighton Clarkson has gone on loan to Aberdeen from Liverpool. Isn't there some mowbray connection to Aberdeen?
  18. I see your point but this season is different with no games for part of November and most of December.
  19. Must be every chance of Ash Phillips making this squad for Swansea. This can't be a bad thing the more he is involved in the first team with potential game time can only present a clear way forward for him here.
  20. I watched Sam Burns against Chorley and he was certainly far too good for that level. Hopefully he will be given a chance to progress.
  21. That's not the point. He put the ball in the net nobody else did.
