  1. I always "enjoy" this period... we assume nothing is happening because Mowbray and Waggott are on holiday, hence why all the "good" "Bosman's" get snapped up over the next 2 weeks by other clubs... Only to be told by the LT in about 2 weeks time that the transfer activity will increase a week later once Mowbray and Waggott are back from holiday, and after they speak to the owners a week after that. I await the usual shambles.
  2. 🤣 I think todays version is from January...
  3. 100% Yes completely. I listed 20+ players there, but only a half dozen would be realistic for various reasons. Vrancic, Mowatt, Diedhiou or Assombalonga would be ones i look at, plus the Watford 2 if there is even 1% chance. Then there are Adelakun and Harris who could be worth a year or 2 prove it deal given our lack of wingers. Pearson could be the backup CB we need.
  4. Some interesting names on the retained lists around the league being released. Shame Rovers are the opposite of proactive... Shows they're are improvements out there. Mario Vrancic - Norwich Alex Mowatt - Barnsley Christian Kabasele and Kiko Femenia - Watford Yuri Ribeiro- Notts Forest Hakeeb Adelakun, Henri Landsbury, Famara Diedhiou and Jamie Paterson - Bristol City Alex Pritchard and Oscar Niasse - Huddersfield Jack Wilshire- Bournemouth Henrik Dalsgard - Brentford Junior Hoillett (👀) - Cardiff Martyn Waghorn and Andre Wisdom - Derby Britt Assombalonga - Middlesbrough Matty Pearson - Luton Kadeem Harris and Jordan Rhodes -Sheff Wednesday Andre Ayew and Kyle Naughton- Swansea Could build a team that finishes well above Mowbrays Rovers with them cast offs.
  5. Mate sent me this picture today. I've asked for updates. Might be the most exciting and progressive part of our summer.
  6. 4 pages dedicated to "Armstrong or Rothwell". Knowing this corrupt club and arsehole manager, we'll sell Rothwell for £1.5m (max) in a few weeks to a top six chasing CH team, then "try" to resign Armstrong all summer before selling him in the dying days of August for £15m (max) as we "have to" cash in now. (£10.2m coming to us.) Then... according to Mowbray we won't have time to get a replacement in for either Rothwell or Armstrong as other clubs want "too much money" (thanks to our windfall) or (unlike Rovers {Raya}) will need "a replacement signed first". Long story short and reading the tea leaves - were selling Armstrong AND Rothwell. Spending £0m. Don't get too excited. (At least we'll have Bennett and Johnson at £15-20kpw combined).
  7. Or even better hope Brentford get promoted - pay us that fee - THEN they sell Raya at a more inflated price. Not that we'll spend it.
  8. So, working on the assumptions that Mowbray stays, the 3 contracts get triggered, Johnson stays, Wharton and Dack are injured and Armstrong leaves... (ignoring U23s yet to play). We have: GK: Kaminski, Pears RB: Nyambe*, Rankin-Costello* LB: Pickering, 👀 CB: Lenihan, Ayala, Carter, Magloire, 👀, 👀 CDM: Travis, Johnson*, Davenport CM: Rothwell*, Buckley 👀, 👀 WF: Gallagher, Brereton, Dolan, Chapman, Butterworth, 👀 ST: 👀 👀 We have 19 players for August-January (4 technically are out of contract next month). Bleak. Ps. Bannan=Yes, Reach=HELL NO. Wouldn't mind a cheap punt on either Dominic Iorfa or Moses Odubajo if we were shopping Sheff Wed - though both have been injured most of the season. Does anyone know if Harry Cornick (Luton) or Connor Chaplin (Barnsley) are in contract next season? Both really impress me everytime I see them. Surely we'd be interested.
  9. Can't wait for Mowbray to cry/complain about us having no money to spend < Sell Armstrong for £30m > complaining that clubs are asking for too much money as they know we have sold Armstrong. = 5 loans, 3 free transfers, 1 £400,000 signing (and 3 ex boro players) as the £15m* transfer fund disappears forever. Can't wait.
  10. "I pigeon-hole Corry as a destructive, simplistic footballer rather than being creative.” Doesn't sound like Tony to pigeon-hole a player (incorrectly.) 🤡 For what it's worth, my ITK down at Ewood gave an "Oh, absolutely, 100%!" repsonse to if he was under the impression DinoMowbs would be Rovers manager next season. 🤮 Officially DONE. 4,000 ST sales - if we're lucky.
  11. ✅💯 Agree with each paragraph there. l'll be sticking £10 on a Rovers/Derby/Forest treble hoping to reverse psychology positive results for Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday... and awful results for Derby and Mowbray.
  12. Derby need to win all 3 games or we are officially safe. Bennett, Downing, Trybull, Johnson, Elliott, Douglas, Bell, Harwood-Bellis, Branthwaite and anyone else not contracted to BRFC in July 2021 should be sent on holiday tonight and the likes of Pike, Davenport, McBride etc need to get these next 3 games. Oh, and Mowbray should be sacked and forced to walk back to Middlesbrough from Sheffield.
  13. If anyone accuses anyone of not being a "real fan" for being okay if we lose today... you simply cannot see the forest for the trees.
  14. Shit performances like this have been happening under Mowbray since before we even got relegated. We have our 50 points, bookies have stopped taking bets on us being relegated this season. Now is about securing Mowbray being sacked in 2 weeks. If we lose to Sheff Wed and Rotherham and Derby get relegated... bonus. This can't continue.
  15. Biggest concern about this management for me, think back to: Amari Bell on his debut vs Scunthorpe, 2-2 (December 2017) Joe Rothwell vs Derby, 1-0 (2019) and basically every appearance in 2018-2019. Lewis Travis vs WBA, 2-0 (NYD, 2019) and basically every appearance in 2018-2019 Bradley Johnson back at the start of last season (and this). Sam Gallagher under Coyle. Harvey Elliott and Tyrhys Dolan in August/Spetember. Even (to a lesser extent) Thomas Kaminski from the first half of this season compared to now. Darragh Lenihan, in general. What is the theme and point I'm making? Each of these players looked like quality, and in some cases elite CH quality players (Gallagher, Johnson, Kaminski, Rothwell and Lenihan) and some wonderkids (Travis, Dolan, Elliott). Look at what a period of time under Mowbray has done to each of them. He literally killed all the spark we saw/had in Travis, Elliott and Dolan have basically been a non-factor since 2021 (Yes, I know). Johnson and Bell look like easy "good riddance" candidates in 4 games time and Rothwell is also a shadow of himself 95% of the time. I cannot think of one player he has improved in 3+ years, besides maybe Mr "350 shots a season" Adam Armstrong (who should have scored 3 last night). His personality literally reflects player progression/regression.
  16. Armstrong knows you're allowed to round the goalkeeper? Seriously.
  17. Hmmm, I wonder if that left winger for Rovers would make a okay #9?
  18. Serious question: Name a worse manager in English football that currently has a job. I'll wait.
  19. That was not my intended... however as fact/luck would have it we've won 2 games in 12 weeks and he is sitting there pretty fucking immune. No doubt he'll get the 2 wins to grant him a cushy 12 week summer... With the (bullshit) "clean slate" in August. Priority #1 for me (and everyone here) is we stay up... however if that doesn't come with Mowbray being removed as manager, we're just putting the rubber stamp on relegation next year.
  20. I fully agree, it doesn't... But come on, you've been around here the entire Mowbray era to see how even 1 win grants him 6+ weeks immunity. If we win 3, heck even 2 games with some draws going forward this season, Mowbray will be untouchable... and that WILL lead to relegation next season I 100% believe. We agree he has to go, I even think I was the first person on here to call for his dismissal over 2 1/4 years ago. Fact is a draw - against 4th bottom with what will be 4 games to go, a 4 point cushion and an "untouchable" +21 GD "bonus point" - is a satisfactory result all round at this stage of the season and our plight. Under no circumstances do I want us to lose tonight. Will I jump around the house cheering when/if Armstrong flukes an 88th minute winner, no... because it just adds to the size and inevitability of the lemon drizzle looking iceberg I'm desperately hoping we avoid. (Relegation). The danger of relegation we face today - even with a draw tonight - is FAR less than the danger we will be facing 1 year from now if that pleb scrapes 8-10 points from these 5 games.
  21. To use your Russian Roulette analogy... okay, maybe this season we're playing, but with 1 bullet in the revolver, however if Tony wins a couple now - and is here next season - we might as well load the whole damn gun for 2021-2022.
  22. Give me a draw tonight, for 3 reasons. 1) Solidifies this run under Tony as (I believe) the worst manager (form wise) in the clubs history (1 from 16). Another nail in his (already pretty nailed) coffin. (For the good that does). 2) Relegation wise it would actually be a solid result at this stage - with Rotherham losing. 3) BONUS: Keeps Derby same distance below us, costs them a game, and leaves them on the brink of relegation (which i would LOL!) Fully prepared for us to go and get 11 points from 5... and for Mowbray and his delusional fan club to wank bank that upturn of form all the way to October.
  23. This shit fucks me off. LAST SUMMER was the pivotal summer... and he well and truly flopped. No, bye. The "give him the next window" mindset is going to take us back to L1. Dino Tony has had EIGHT windows already and has been stealing a living since we went 2-0 up away to Brentford in 2019.
