  1. By an absolute mile our best defender though.
  2. If only we had spent £7 Million or even £3-4 Million on a couple defenders rather than a dud who can't even make the squad he is so bad.
  3. Time to get rid, this has gone on for long enough and he has shown no sign of having any idea what to do to stop it. Just think where we would be now if we had a manger who knew how to see a game out.
  4. I said when we went 2-1 up I don't know why we are celebrating like that you can be sure Leeds will equalise and then when they equalised 3 minutes left I said we will be lucky not to lose this now. Sad that it is so predictable but what can you expect if the manager just shrugs his shoulders and says 'that is where we are', the players know that they can get away with these spineless performances.
  5. Raya Nyambe Downing Mulgrew Williams Reed Rodwell Travis Dack Rothwell Graham Subs: Leutwiler, Lenihan, Bell, Evans, Palmer, Armstrong, Nuttall It's pointless us even attempting to play with any wide men as whoever plays there offers little width, so we had just as well play narrow but with plenty of creativity. The full back can provide the width Rodwell dropping in to to make it a back 3 when they get forward and you will also have plenty of energy and hard work from Reed and Travis.
  6. I'd rate Paulo Fonseca as one of the top young managers in Europe the job he has done at Shakhtar under very difficult circumstances has been fantastic. He will be up for much up for bigger jobs than that of a mid table Championship team.
  7. Steele got injured.
  8. Leeds like Norwich have a lovely blend of young British players and some excellent foreign imports. Mowbray's work in the transfer market is looking increasingly dated 5 or so ago the Championship was a bit of a culture shock for a lot of foreign players but as sides like Wolves, Fulham and Huddersfield in previous years along with Leeds, Norwich and to a lesser extent Forest this season have shown this season that there is good value to be had abroad now and the players can mix it.
  9. You get what you pay for don't you top players are going to want more money. But any of those 3 would have offered far better value for money than Brereton even taking potentially higher wages into account.
  10. I wouldn't disagree with them.
  11. Does anyone actually enjoy watching us at home? We've had 24 halves of league football at Ewood this season. I think that there have only been 4 or 5 halves that I have enjoyed and thought that we have played well, the rest has been forgettable boring dross. Waggott says we need 16k to break even bar the odd game with big away support there is no way we are going to get 16k through the gate to watch the sort of football that we are dishing up. Mowbray keeps talking about changing the style but there is absolutely no sign of that.
  12. I don't need google I've got my own eyes.
  13. I accept that the lad's young and that argument would hold some sway with me if there were some signs of promise but that he is just a little raw. However he can't even do the basic's he looks clueless what to do with the ball when he has it because his passing isn't great and he doesn't have the pace or skill to beat a player, he can't hold the ball up, his first touch is like a shot, for a big lad he lacks any physicality and is out muscled too easily and most of all for someone who should be out to make an impression his work rate is very poor.
  14. Start of the season not many people would have had Norwich top of the league at the half way point, last season they finished 14th, in the summer they spent little money and lost Murphy and Maddison. The reason that Rhodes isn't starting is that they pulled of a masterstroke in getting Pukki in on a free transfer and Hanley is just coming back from a few months out injured before injury before that he has was regular starter and I believe that he is their club captain.
  15. I don't get why whatever the score is be we winning, losing or drawing Mowbray will always bring him on. Did anyone really think when he came on today oh good Brereton's coming on he can be our match winner? What was the thinking in bringing him on today? It's as though Mowbray knows that he isn't good enough to start but as he has spent so much money on him he feels inclined to give him a run out.
  16. You have to say what a wonderful job Daniel Farke is doing at Norwich. Mowbray could learn a lot from him as he has Norwich top of the league having spent little money in the summer and having lost his two best players from last season. Farke has utilised the overseas market very well and it offers you much better value for money yet Mowbray has shown zero interest in trying to recruit from overseas. What Farke has also done well that Mowbray doesn't do is that he has given chances to young academy players.
  17. The trouble is that if Gallagher comes in he will be shunted out wide to play out off position.
  18. That will probably be our saving grace that there is such dross like Ipswich, Bolton, Hull, Millwall, Rotherham and Reading down there.
  19. Let's hope that he has a better transfer window in January than the awful summer one that he had otherwise I fear we will be looking nervously over our shoulder come the end of the season. Although his previous signing's (Dack aside) don't give me confidence.
  20. With the amount dross we have dished up at home this season attendances are more likely to go down than up before the end of the season.
  21. If Forest had paid us £7 Million to take, we'd still have been done.
  22. Today there is no doubt about why it was fitness. Norwich got better as the game went on and it's no surprise that they score so many late goals as their levels never dropped. Us on the other hand we were done with 20-25 minutes left, we had nothing left and were just hoping that we could hang on for the point. It reminded me of an FA cup game when a professional side play against a team of part timers, the part timers compete for 3 quarters of the game but in the final quarter fitness kicks in and the professional side take control.
  23. We got what we deserved from the game. There was an inevitability that they were going to score they looked a good, organised and fit team that got stronger as the game went on. Us on the other hand after about 65-70 minutes we looked knackered, it looked like a team of professionals against a team of part timers. It's no surprise that Norwich score so many late goals and that we concede so many. Again devoid of any creativity in attack, Reed is not a wide man, one goal last week doesn't change my mind that Armstrong is not up to it at this level, why is Palmer coming on ahead of Rothwell who is our player and Palmer will be gone in a few weeks. We are crying out for some natural width, our attacking play is all so narrow and predictable and a good side like Norwich will soon work it out and cope with it easily. It wouldn't be so bad if we had someone like Reed in central midfield who could create something but Evans and Smallwood barely pass forward let alone create something. As for Brereton what is the point week in week out bringing him off the bench for 10-20 minutes you'd just as well put me on one I'd be cheaper and two I'd be just as likely to score. He's appears clueless what to do with the ball when he get's it and for a big lad he's is eased of the ball very easy. A dud. All this talk of play offs a few weeks back come the new year we are more likely to be looking over our shoulders at the drop zone and unless some good signings are made I can only see us going one way in the table.
  24. The usual first half dross at Ewood, 3 goals in 12 first halves. I would take at least one of central midfielder's off as there is a good chance that one could be sent off.
