  1. Even if true, with a director of football model, a change in head coach would not change the general playing style of the team or the transfer strategy to any great extent. Whilst the formation may change, They will still look for defenders (and goalkeepers) who can play it out from the back, pressing forwards, versatile players who can play multiple positions etc. Whether we like it or not, that is now Rovers playing identity, regardless of who the manager head coach is
  2. He does. So does Gally, but Dolan will be on a much more manageable wage so it is more likely Dolans extension will be triggered than Gallys
  3. Seeing as we only have 5 on loan, I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief on that score! Moran, Chrisene, McGuire, Ayari and Koumetio are on loan McFadzean and Fleck were short term permanent signings Siggy has now signed permanently
  4. If it is an obligation to buy, then if the player/Rovers meet the stated obligation (it may be appearances made, goals scored, Rovers finishing position etc) then the transfer becomes permanent (for example, the O'Brien deal was to be an obligation to buy IF Rovers were promoted) If it is an option to buy rather than an obligation to buy, then Rovers would have first refusal to buy him for a set fee. So in theory, if the option is £3M (I have no idea what it actually is) and he goes on to become the new Ronaldo and scores 20 odd goals before the end of the season, and other clubs want to buy him for £20M, Rovers would still have the first refusal at £3M and then could turn around a quick sale for a profit of £17M. * All figures and fees are made up for the sake of example
  5. He was already back in light training I think, It was on Rovers TV, which doesn't seem to be working at the moment but this covers it https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24052027.blackburn-midfielder-sets-injury-target-opens-loan/
  6. He (Buckley) did an interview last month and said mid February
  7. I think its legal if they are playing full back or wing back
  8. People on here were going nuts about how good Stokes and Birmingham's transfer business was this summer just gone
  9. https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/announcement/malcolm-ebiowei-joins-rwd-molenbeek-loan/ Ebiowei gone to Belgium on loan
  10. He is on the bench most games for them, but hasn't played a minute in the Prem https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ethan-brierley/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/718250/plus/0?saison=2023&verein=1148&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=
  11. Only sense I see is he is left footed, so cheap cover for Wharton at left centre back
  12. If we end up with more than 5, Ayari misses out, doesn't even stand out in the U21s
  13. McFadzien isnt on loan, signed on a free
  14. No point signing both, they both play on the right
  15. Think it was similar to when we signed Armstrong from Newcastle, so would imagine so
  16. Just a musing When Siggy signed on loan he took up one of those none work permit slots, is there a chance that when he signed permanently, having played in the Championship for half a season, that he no longer take up one of those slots and therefore we have an extra one? Probably not, but would be nice to know for sure
  17. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/preston-north-end-transfers-championship-20792232 Based on this I don't think he qualifies for a work permit outright, so would need to take up another (the final) of the 4 slots
  18. Think Tronstad got a work permit as he played in the top division in Holland, pretty sure none of the others qualified, so we would have taken up 3 slots by my working
  19. no, and you would be an hour too late
  20. Scholarship at 16 Pro contract at 17 (but only allowed to sign for a max of 3 years) Long term contract when he turns 18
  21. He is not even half decent in the Championship any more https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kyle-mcfadzean/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/32526/wettbewerb/GB2/saison/2023 Look at Coventry's results since he was dropped (along with Ayari who we also signed)
  22.
