  1. Sheff Utd definitely the favourites, but its a one off game
  2. and probably the next 4-6 years too Mainoo may eventually replace Rice, but the others have 10+ years at the very top
  3. We stole him for an even smaller pittance less than 7 months ago It is a shitty system, that needs reforming (but likely will not be), but Rovers also take advantage of it too
  4. He didn't He would be a decent signing as back up/competition for Brittain, but if he is Brittains replacement then it is a significant downgrade He does have decent pace though
  5. Apparently Rovers are competing with Derby & PNE for Cody Drameh, with Hull willing to sell at the right price https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25187227.blackburn-register-transfer-interest-hull-city-defender/ Competition & the "right price" presumably being more than £0 surely make this unlikely
  6. Montgomery starts for Scotland U20s vs Slovakia, kick off is at 14:30, I was looking for a stream but cannot seem to locate one
  7. "Adam, Wharton" trending on twitter now
  8. employees, shareholders, owners, etc (anyone with any interest) Personally see the term as meaningless "corpospeak" which is designed to make those who cannot think critically, feel like we are all in this together
  9. Hence the first line of my previous comment Just because our players are paid below average by Championship standards. does not mean that they are not paid more than other groups we could compare them with (such as the women's team and/or normal fans) by several orders of magnitude
  10. That all depends on who we are comparing them with But if we are comparing their current financial remuneration with what they would get at any other club in the championship that has any realistic hopes of being in the mix for the top 6 next season, then yes, I agree
  11. Waggott is lazy and as done as he is told for the past 7 years, without rocking the boat. He is not the devious mastermind that you seem to think he is
  12. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25185397.burnley-fc-women-go-full-time-pros---replace-rovers/ Dingle FC Women to go full-time pros - and could replace Rovers Not sure if this was always planned, or if they are jumping on the opportunity
  13. I'm not sure rational thought holds the answers in the case of Venkys
  14. Montgomery called up for Scotland U20s https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/may/22/kristi-called-up/
  15. Or a new contract signing for one of our stars like Lorenze Mullarkey-Matthews 😉
  16. I would argue that it works when you have far better players than your competitors (which doesn't necessarily equate to the best of the world). Like the Dingles under Kompany, or Southampton under Martin at Championship level, but hopelessly exposed in a higher division. Kompany has gone on to be fine at Bayern, at least in Domestic games (I would argue due to the gulf in class between Bayern & everyone else), but their Champions League performances have not been stand out Would imagine Russell Martin would also look like the genius that he thinks he is if he were in charge of Rangers or Celtic. (maybe with the exception of Old Firm games).. but would again be hopelessly exposed in European games
  17. a fair guess it was 24th June last season https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24403125.john-eustaces-blackburn-rovers-in-tray-pre-season-begins/
  18. This is all that I have seen announced so far https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/may/05/dates-for-your-diary-ahead-of-2025-26/ https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/april/23/pre-season-training-camp-confirmed/ Presumably they will have some in house training at least a week or 2 before the training camp
  19. Just be grateful, be quiet, & get behind the lads & lasses ffs! 😉
  20. I read that as Judge Judy for a second, I thought you had a secret to tell us 😉
  21. Strich has looked ok in patches, and is still a teenager, so that one I can understand, low cost, low risk. Wood though is 21 before next season kicks off, and had 3 very unimpressive loan spells this season (all at pretty low levels), has always looked like he could nick a goal at U21 level, but seems miles off it in men's football, reminds me of Joe Nuttall in that regard (not in style)
