  1. Not a clue how reliable the source is, I just did a bit of quick digging on the player after someone else posted the link to him
  2. Apparently he is a fast, left footed wide player, 22 years old, French/Egyptian. Still has 2.5 years left on his contract, so would probably cost more than Rovers are offering https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/haissem-hassan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/620164/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=
  3. we probably have more chance of Bertha producing that army
  4. An army of Sam Gallaghers? 😉
  5. If its the same 0.2% of simulations then I'm definitely there for it
  6. Its more exciting than it just being essentially an excel spreadsheet 😉
  7. James Edmondson (midfielder) recalled from loan at Macclesfield That's our Baker replacement sorted then 😉
  8. Edmondson recalled, confirmed by Macclesfield, not by Rovers
  9. In other news, the Opta "supercomputer" is doing a Mystic Meg impression again https://theanalyst.com/2025/01/championship-predictions-opta-january-2024-2025
  10. Jones is another with little end product Less goal involvements than Dolan in the 5 years he has been in the championship (from slightly more minutes than Dolan too), and none at all this season Jones stats Dolan stats He has pace, which is useful, but that's about it
  11. Starts this evening for Vale drew 0-0 - Vale played the first 60odd minutes before being subbed off with the game at 0-0 in his first start since returning from injury. Saadi - drew 2-2 - Saadi has now started the last 6 in all competitions, Its only Cyprus, and given that an aging Matt Derbyshire did "ok" there in his spell at AEK before moving to Bradford in League 2, I am guessing that it is probably on some sort of par with the 4th tier here, but he is doing ok for himself there by the looks of things.
  12. Whilst I think you are correct as per rules and regs, I would imagine there is essentially a "gentleman's agreement" that clubs check with the parent club before cup tying loan players, and whilst the club could technically (and legally) just play the player anyway, it may sour any future business relations between the 2 parties
  13. Its what owners with a bit of gumption would have done last season. Technically speaking Venkys could still do that now. But they wont
  14. Not at all, Sell Wharton, Szmodics etc for close to £40M Invest £10M of said £40M in new players with a bit of potential, use the rest of the profits to fund losses (so that the owners do not have to) Sell some of the new players in a few years time Rinse and repeat
  15. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24842509.blackburn-rovers-lewis-baker-recalled-stoke-city/ But yes, about an hour after it was official
  16. 75 Premier League games in the same position https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jeffrey-schlupp/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/157506/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id= I would argue Schlupp is better on the left of a midfield 3 than in a 2 man midfield though (if he were to be used in central midfield rather than wide)
  17. Swift will be wanting about £30K/week though, especially when no transfer fee is involved. Has Longstaff improved since struggling to get into the Colchester team a year or so ago? Not that I think Baker is anything more than ok to be honest
  18. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/january/08/baker-returns-to-stoke/
  19. Funny Junior? I had no idea his sense of humour was that good 😉 He does have a very Whartonesc style about him. In a way I hope he isn't quite as good as Wharton, though so that we can enjoy him for longer before he inevitably moves on
  20. Robbie Savage talking about James Edmondson's loan at Macclesfield before last nights match
  21. Finished 1-1 Rovers can still qualify as one of the best group runners up if they beat group winners QPR at home at the end of the month https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/january/07/report--preston-north-end-under-21s-1-1-rovers-under-21s/
  22. Macclesfield went bust and had to reform and start from the bottom Decent documentary about it here "starring" a certain Robbie Savage Bury in the 9th tier these days, similar story
