Tony Mowbray Discussion
Mashed Potatoes replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I was responding to a post that cited a club who are on their fifth permanent manager since June 2016 -
That horse was Moorestyle who was one of the outstanding sprinters of the last century. He was owned by the Moorestyle furniture company and had been bought cheap to publicise the business of the owners. He was so successful in the early 1980s that there were rumours at the time that the horse had become more valuable than the business that owned him.

Ignoring financial disciplines and constantly changing the manager has not worked for Derby, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday. -

Lenihan should play - our record with him in the team over the last 2 and a half seasons is much better than when he is missing. -

Surely it's a better sign than if he couldn't walk on it.

It took Burnley 3 promotions to stabilise as a PL club - that will be the norm for many clubs -

Drifted out to 9/2 in the betting. -
Yes I think you're right. Fans here can't have it both ways; if his contract is not renewed then some will complain about lack of ambition etc but if it is then the moment he gets injured a la Ayala they will complain about us signing injury prone players. With the recent birth of his child he may well want to return to Germany anyway.
-
I think too injury prone for that - needs to be strongly geared towards pay as you play.
-
Other than the last couple of years Holtby has spent his career playing in the top flight in England and Germany; injuries have caught up with him but on a good day he is a high class player. Had he not suffered with injuries he would not be with a club at our level.

Eastham has to get some games to develop.

There were one or two "big lads" but he is certainly one of them - has blond hair. Reminds me a bit of Declan Rice.

They had a man sent off so played the second half with 10 men. They gave up the midfield and defended the edge of the penalty area. It didn't look as if we had a great passer who could break them down. Best prospect looked to be centre back Garrett who is not 18 until next March but who stepped up in to midfield and a lot of the play went through him.
