  1. Dwight Gayle on loan? Daniel Ayala nearly out of contract? Pantillimon not wanted at Forest? Marcus Olsson Free? 4 players that would dramatically improve our squad and not break the bank. However non of the above are midfielders so I doubt we'll see any of them lining up for us in January.
  2. Cheers mate. Yeah I'm 41 now and thinking my legs won't be able to play 90 minutes for much longer. Will definitely give it a go in the next couple of years. Who were the legends when you played? Looks like you're about to give away a free kick on that bottom photo. Guessing you were a Flitty fan!
  3. Enough for a keeper, left back and centre back then!! " Tony do we need a striker" "Yeah we need one of those too" "Then use our player of the year from last year you tosspot!"
  4. If TM is still there then how much are we imagining the transfer kitty will be in January?
  5. iPad?? You're having a laugh!!! Just been sent these images from his office!
  6. Read my post from last night. There's method to my madness.
  7. I see Tony's hard at work with his tactics board!!!
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/quicktest/18037966.theres-fluency-rovers-wont-pigeon-hole-lewis-holtby/?ref=ebls Here we go again....
  9. I feel that if you gave Chapman a run of 3 or 4 games in the first team his quality would come through. He has obviously got a few attitude issues, but when he sees the first team doing so badly and he can't even get a place on the bench, his morale is bound to drop. We can't do any worse with him in the team than we are at present. The same could be said for 3 or 4 of the U23s. Time to roll the dice Tony. Take off your blinkers and realise that there are other options within the club. If his job is as safe as it appears then why wouldn't he gamble?
  10. Pantillimon, Cooper and Kingsley for me. Dawson looks no better than Walton and Winnall certainly isn't the answer up top.
  11. Don't worry he'll be well and truly tucked up in bed now. Horlicks drunk, hobnobs eaten, scout report from Albania v Andorra in, text messages from Benno and Arma read and responded to.
  12. I reckon Mowbray would've loved it when Trent moved into centre midfield. England's Elliott Bennett!!
  13. I think going forward we must be the best in Europe. Defensively they worry me. Stones needs games as does Gomez at club level. T.A.A has to start at full back as does Chilwell. Was really impressed with Winks and Ox tonight. I would add Henderson to them 2 to complete the midfield. Upfront I would go Rashford, Sterling and Kane.
  14. How long until Tony is giving Del a game upfront? Another goal tonight.
  15. I agree. My point was that he has had long enough to put that type of squad together. He's way out of his depth, and the cracks are becoming craters
  16. I know this bloke divides opinion but I wouldn't be against Roy Keane coming in on an initial 6 month contract. He has so much fire in his belly I'm pretty sure he would sort the shambles at Ewood out!!
  17. How I would've lined up tonight
  18. Tony needs to firmly decide on a formation or two that he wants to play. Then go into the transfer market and get the best players he can, to go along with the best of what we have already, to play in that/those 2 formations. What it appears happens is that he looks at what he can get in the market and then use those plus his favourites and play them somewhere in his team. It really isn't rocket science. If I was in charge I would make sure I had 2 decent quality players in each position, so if there's an injury to one then the alternative is a decent replacement, playing in their natural position. For instance if we are playing 4-2-3-1 then.... 2 X GK 2 X RB 2 X LB 4 X CB 4 X CM 2 X AM 2 X RW 2 X LW 3 X CF Let's not piss about with average squad players ie Smallwood Samuel Evans Bell Bennett etc.. God I'd love a go at Mowbray's job, as I suspect we all would.
