  1. It's a really interesting thing you do here btw, hats off to you for taking the time and trouble 👍
  2. No arguments from me either 🙂....I was just trying to say that there's more than one way to get success. Without a decent manager though, it's impossible. Yeah, Sheff U were poor alright, in complete contrast to Fulham who they came down with.
  3. I'm surprised that Davenport scored so low. I thought that he was one of our better players on the day.
  4. Sorry. I'll go and wash my mouth out 🙂
  5. And how much money have Norwich made in 3 seasons yo-yo'ing? 2 lots of promotion money, 2 lots of PL money, 2 lots of parachute money... Anyway, I'll qualify my comment. It's brought them no more on field success than Norwich or Sheff U. The point I'm trying to make, though, is that this moneyball thing isn't the be all and end all. It's merely one way of running a club, and one way to possibly become successful. The 2 other clubs I mention have been successful via a different approach. As have Burnley, for that matter.
  6. Irrespective of what the moneyball means and how Brentford apply it, its brought them no more success than Norwich, Sheff Utd..... At the end of the day, for a club to be successful, whether using moneyball or otherwise, it needs a good manager (sorry head coach), which we don't have.
  7. Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, they're slipping.
  8. He got them promoted to the PL and kept them there for 2 seasons. I'd take that every time over our current outlook.
  9. Is that the same Brentford who are now slipping down the PL table & will likely end up falling out of it with errr....Norwich?
  10. Much better to get there first and then worry about staying there. Farke is a proven success at promotion.
  11. You said that Farke was a Head Coach. Why does that matter?
  12. So what's your point?
  13. Who knows? The point is that they are unemployed and we should be sounding guys like this out as they are clearly an improvement on what we have. Whatever the difference is, does it even matter whether someone is/was a 'head coach' or a 'manager'?
  14. Could/should have gone for Wilder. Farke is available, as is now Smith.
  15. With several better calibre managers available, now is the time for the Rovers Board to make a move. If they dither any longer, we'll be sifting through the dregs.
  16. So by that logic, we may as well stick with Mowbray ad infinitum.
  17. Absolutely, yesterday's game was a joy to witness. But let's not pretend that Mowbray is some kind of managerial guru who we couldn't hope to better.
  18. The club can't force the players to do anything; they have a contract of employment to honour. Why on earth would you bench the likes of Lenihan, Nyambe & Rothwell just because they won't sign a new contract? Who in our current squad would you replace them with? Carter, JRC & Johnson? I'd rather that we played our best players every single game.
  19. I can only assume you didn't attend the Fulham game. Because believe you me, that was the most embarrassing experience I've had watching the Rovers over 45 years.
  20. Why not? If they're still under contract, of course we can.
  21. How would you feel Chaddy if your employer divulged details of your employment contract to a random customer? Would you not think that this was at the very least unprofessional?
  22. I don't see how Waggott can say said players will be sold in January if they don't sign. The players have the upper hand here. If they choose not to sign, Waggott can't just force them to sign for another club. It's far more likely that they'd just run their contracts down and get a fat siging-on fee somewhere else.
  23. Farke would be top of my shortlist for replacing Mowbray,
