  1. Could/should have gone for Wilder. Farke is available, as is now Smith.
  2. With several better calibre managers available, now is the time for the Rovers Board to make a move. If they dither any longer, we'll be sifting through the dregs.
  3. So by that logic, we may as well stick with Mowbray ad infinitum.
  4. Absolutely, yesterday's game was a joy to witness. But let's not pretend that Mowbray is some kind of managerial guru who we couldn't hope to better.
  5. The club can't force the players to do anything; they have a contract of employment to honour. Why on earth would you bench the likes of Lenihan, Nyambe & Rothwell just because they won't sign a new contract? Who in our current squad would you replace them with? Carter, JRC & Johnson? I'd rather that we played our best players every single game.
  6. I can only assume you didn't attend the Fulham game. Because believe you me, that was the most embarrassing experience I've had watching the Rovers over 45 years.
  7. Why not? If they're still under contract, of course we can.
  8. How would you feel Chaddy if your employer divulged details of your employment contract to a random customer? Would you not think that this was at the very least unprofessional?
  9. I don't see how Waggott can say said players will be sold in January if they don't sign. The players have the upper hand here. If they choose not to sign, Waggott can't just force them to sign for another club. It's far more likely that they'd just run their contracts down and get a fat siging-on fee somewhere else.
  10. Farke would be top of my shortlist for replacing Mowbray,
  11. I totally get that players lose form, fitness etc and that it's a squad game. It's the needless tinkering which lets Mowbray down. Change for change's sake most of the time.
  12. For me, Davenport was MOM today. Kept it simple and kept the ball moving. Why oh why can't Mowbray just stop his needless tinkering and play to our strengths? Bloody infuriating.
  13. On Wednesday, I think it was a sense of astonishment at what was going on which perhaps prevented any visible fan dissent. IMO, people are wisening up to it and are on the edge of letting rip.
  14. Tricky one to predict is this. Sheffield should be smelling blood. If they get at us early and bag, we may fold and it could get nasty again. Conversely, Mowbray may do his usual and get a result as he often does when the heat is on. I'm going for 1-1.
  15. My view is that it simply shows the general lack of intelligence footballers have. They can't or don't think, and then in the case of Bennett and his inflated ego, try and take the high ground in justifying it. At the end of the day, players like Bennett are a 1000 a penny. Journeymen players with only the smallest modicum of ability. They're not worth the merest of thoughts.
  16. It's not trivia though Rev. All put together, it amounts to what is now an appalling customer experience, irrespective of what is happening on the pitch.
  17. On the subject of Buckley, as soon as I saw the team last night I thought to myself 'we'll never score here'. What on earth is Mowbray thinking when he plays Buckley down the middle? He can't shoot, let alone score, has no pace to speak of, and is physically not suited for that role. I'm no expert, but bloody hell, even I can see that would never work.
  18. Where I sit, in the JW Upper BBE side, for at least the past 4 games one of the three refreshment bars has been shut. Last night, they'd run out of pies before half time at the main bar. It's an absolute farce. They can't even get this right.
  19. We're desperate for Ayala to be fit for Sheffield. At the very least, he can better organise the defence.
  20. That's a disgrace. Mowbray should be ashamed of himself for that. Once again, he's destroyed the players publically.
  21. Mowbray should have done far better with the resources afforded to him, that's for sure. He's a poor manager. The fact that Mowbray and Waggott are still here though, and seemingly not leaving any time soon, is on the owners.
