  1. I'll turn it around then. If we somehow got promoted back to the PL under the present incumbents, do you think our attendances would stay as-is or would we see an big increase? I'd wager the latter.
  2. Of course it's the loss of Premiership football which is the predominant reason many have disappeared. That happens at most clubs. The way the club is mismanaged simply compounds the issue with Rovers.
  3. I'll be renewing mine and my daughter's closer to the renewal deadline; I'd like to think that there are more like us who keep hold of our money as long as we can :) and that the number will grow. Like Chaddy, I'm looking forward to getting down to Ewood again. Waggott has completely shot himself in the foot though with his pricing strategy. He's gambled on getting a decent uptake of season tickets by overpricing match day tickets, but that appears to have backfired on him. If by some remarkable reason we enjoy some on pitch success whereby we would normally have seen a good number of walk-ons, this won't happen due to the ludicrous match day prices. We could very well be stuck at sub 8k (at best) all season.
  4. I'm sure that I saw a bus driving through Wheelton the other day advertising season tickets. Season tickets from 2 seasons ago I believe. That just about sums it up for me.
  5. That would involve a modicum of forethought :)
  6. We need seasoned, hardened pros who know how to scrap. Loanee youngsters aren't going to get us out of the bottom 6 when it's back to the wall come February.
  7. Johnson, Travis, Buckley, Davenport, Rothwell. Any combination of those fills me with fear.
  8. Mowbray has had some success with some players (Dack, Armstrong). He's also signed some absolute donkeys. His main inadequecy is that he can't piece together a 'team'. Gim him Messi, Ronaldo, De Bruyne, VVD et al.....and he'd still make a mess of it.
  9. We know what's coming. "Working with Chile and starring in the Copa America is a lot different from working with us and he wasn't ready to play yet".
  10. My daughter is down at Ewood this week. All the Umbro advertising etc is still in situ. No hurry eh lads?...
  11. The pricing policy is simply laziness and shows a complete lack of imagination. No flexibility whatsoever; no effort to entice those people who perhaps can't afford or justfy a season ticket, but would go to a number of individual games. £36 is just ridiculous. 'Either give us a chunk of money up front or we'll fleece you' seems to be the strategy here.
  12. Absolute tosh. Enter administration, and we may never come back. That's what generally happens to businesses who go bust.
  13. I concur. I've been going since 1975 and will continue to do so long after this lot have vanished. Mowbray will be getting both barrels from me.
  14. Less time for them to get scrutinised and resulting fine/points deduction/embargo issued before the season starts, perhaps?
  15. If there was nothing awry, you'd think they'd just get the accounts submitted, job done. Unless of course.....
  16. Not always the case I agree, but there are countless examples of teams continuing good/bad end of season runs into the next. In our case, the same management/tactics/players will likely result in the same outcome as the last third of last season.
  17. Under the present management and considering form over the last 20 or so games, 2 points max looking at that list I reckon. Eek.
  18. Nope. £439 was the price last season, and therefore this. At least they got it right on the FAQs page though. I stand corrected. It was £459. The FAQ for this year shows it as £439 though.
  19. They can't even get the price listed correctly on the website for my ST. The quoted ST price for JW Upper Outer Adult is down as £459. It should actually be £439. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2021/june/Rovers-welcome-you-Back-To-Live-/ FFS
  20. Bennett has been a waste of a squad place for at least 2 seasons. No loss whatsoever....unless fist pumping is your thing.
  21. Waggot and his commercial and marketing teams are a disgrace. On the back of months of no live football, they should be doing all they can to generate interest around season tickets and the comng season. All we have is radio silence, not a peep. Any modern, consumer-centric business would be all over us with marketing, trying to get us to spend our money. The whole model to season ticket renewals is so outdated. We live in a world of subscriptions - Netflix, Prime etc. - and people quickly get used to monthly payments for services. I don't see why they can't come out with a similar model, whereby we have a membership subscription which covers ticket pricing, premium online content, away game travel...that sort of thing. They'd then have regular income and a captive audience. With a bit of forethought, they could have done this a year ago and kept supporters on board; what they'll now likely have is the lowest ST uptake in a generation.
  22. Doing the maths on this... I'm one of the 2500 who bought a season ticket, £459 JW Upper That's £19.96 per game After 'paying' £10 for each game on iFollow (£230), Waggot owes me a discount of £229 (£9.96 x 23) off next season's ticket. Even if prices do go up, surely even he can't rip me off that much. Or could he? 🤔
  23. I think Waggot intentionally leaves it as late as possible so he can firstly look at what other clubs have done, and based on that then decides what he can then get away with/fleece us by.
