  1. The Venky’s can’t just “walk” - they own the club so are liable for any losses until they agree sell to a willing buyer who’ll then be responsible for said losses and a plan to run the club better. What we don’t want is absent ownership content to cover the losses by asset stripping, whilst the value of the club slides further into the abyss and fan numbers continue to drop off a cliff. The fans only job is to highlight the nonsense, state the facts & failings of the last 15 years and support the team on the pitch.
  2. We don’t have the same numbers or enthusiasm as Wednesday but if you’re willing to get something off the ground feel free. I’m just basing this on my own experience - there is little to no real support for a “protest” in the ground. If there was it would have happened already. Also they came out of the shadows in response to Glen’s work calling them out in the media. The “Pasha Out” banner was great but it came after this and was ultimately futile as the parasite is still there. “Support the team not the regime” would be a great message to have on a Tifo or Flag though. I just think the overall message needs to change from hating Venkys/Pasha to the fans being 100% committed to still supporting the club regardless of the chaos behind the scenes.
  3. Care to explain why? I’m opposed to the word “Tifo” as it’s essentially just a flag but I do believe they galvanise the fans, look great on TV and help to create a positive atmosphere in the stadium. The idea for this particular cause being to show solidarity & strength and not willing to back down against the poor ownership and running of the club.
  4. IDEA 💡 - and maybe something @glen9mullan and the coalition can look into further in dialogue with the club? Can we crowd fund our own “Tifo” or Flag as they’re otherwise known. What is a Tifo? The idea being to show & display that the fans remaining are the heart of the club and we aren’t going anywhere. Protests in the ground are absolute futile, so let’s spread love not hate for the white & blue 💙
  5. Speaking of VE Day 🥳 🇬🇧 🫡
  6. I’m sure certain stewards have been heavy handed but there’s certainly no consistent approach. I got my banner in easily enough and the “Pasha Out” one is huge and that’s been in twice. Let’s be creative like other fan bases have & actually work to get something that will have an even bigger impact. Rather than naysaying about what will happen and what won’t - that’s all I’m saying.
  7. That was before the owners current financial “issues” reared their head and the “project changed” - according to JDT anyway! So I don’t expect Dolan to be replaced with someone of similar quality, commitment or the better consistency & output he has shown this season. If we’re looking at cutting costs surely that should be with getting rid of Buckley & JRC rather than letting one of our best performers leave for free. Offer the lad £15k, he deserves it!
  8. I’ve heard Dolan has been offered £8k a week on similar terms. I don’t blame him for not signing if that’s true, given his output in terms of Championship goals & assists this season is better than anyone else at the club. Meanwhile some fans will say he’s been average and are happy to see him leave when we know full well he won’t be replaced with the same level of quality, commitment or appearance record at our level - likely a loan or a short term deal. #VenkysOut Zero Progress, Zero Ambition and nothing changes until they sell up
  9. Rovers barely have enough stewards to man every entrance so this is absolute nonsense. There’d be a lot more banners if people like you & @Mattyblue stopped pouring cold water on things & making up lies like this or saying that the club are all over it. They’re not.
  10. Replacing Modric is near impossible but I think he’s already better than Camavinga at Real Madrid and any player City or Arsenal have in that specific position. He’s a perfect player in midfield to dictate the game & be a perfect foil for the likes of Bellingham, Rodri and Rice to have more freedom to get forward. Top top player and hopefully he’ll move again soon to keep the lights on for us for another 6 months with the sell on fee!
  11. He’s better than that & they can’t afford him due to FFP
  12. Remember to Express Yourself today all Hoping for a Rovers win for the fans and a final message to Waggott, Suhail & Gestede that we want you gone along with the Rao Family parasites from our club. COYB 🌹
  13. Last chance to express yourselves this season today all! I’ll be there from 2.30pm for a peaceful protest and taking photos with my banner. The plan will be to bring it out in the Blackburn End from about 75 minutes during the game. Nothing changes ‘til Venky’s leave our club 🐔 🥀
  14. I think the tactic is, by Gestede, to use the club to further his career. He’s just another Gregg Broughton, all be it with the clout of being an ex-pro. Who knows, he might stay and become the next Edu at Arsenal. However he’ll be an Edu without any budget as that is all decided above him and it’s clear there isn’t a huge one. He mentioned the Szmodics profit in the interview but this was before Venky’s financial issues reared their head and the fire sale of major assets began. There has been next to no serious investment in the squad since that summer when JDT arrived.
  15. I’m sure Wharton will be sold, he’s an absolute genius of a footballer destined for a higher level than Palace. The original question was whether Venky’s have improved anything at the club since their arrival. And as it stands, the Academy has provided more or less the same value before & after their arrival. They’ve not even improved the fried chicken. They’re useless and they need to sell the club.
  16. Duff, Dunn & Jones sold for £38.5 million combined. No guarantees of any sell on so you cant count that yet. Jones also had a sell on clause at United but it never happened. It’s a moot point but Venky’s haven’t improved the value of the academy since they’ve been here in my opinion, we’ve just been able to play more Academy graduates as we’re at a lower level.
  17. We’ve come close to getting in the Top 6 Chaddy. That is not the same as close to promotion, however which way you try to spin things in your contrarian way. Also your issues with the running of the club are all minor. There are much bigger things going on than how long it takes to queue for a pint and the food choices. Please take this to another thread as it isn’t what this one is for.
  18. Have we actually sold more Academy graduates post Venkys? A lot more have played for the first team but not many have been good enough to sell at any real value. I stand to be corrected but Duff, Dunn and Phil Jones (established 1st team player prior to Venkys taking over) were probably sold for a greater value than any one after?
  19. My thoughts exactly @JHRover The difference in overall mood since being 0-2 down to Sheff Weds at home to now is astounding. All it has taken is a last minute equaliser and a couple of wins.
  20. Would you take a few seasons of pain & potentially being relegated to League 2 if it led to better ownership & running of the club and all of your gripes addressed? I’m just curious to understand the mindset? I get the feeling from friends of a similar view that they wouldn’t be happy if results took a major slide leading to relegation to League 1 and potentially further. For me, unless there is a major cash injection from the owners and their financial issues in India suddenly disappear, that is exactly what is coming. There are very few saleable assets left of the magnitude of Wharton & Smzodics given the lack of any serious investment in the team since the summer transfer window in 2022.
  21. If this is your way @chaddyrovers does it really matter what League we are in? Genuine question.
  22. We can’t force anything. All we can do as fans is keep the spotlight firmly on the negative aspects of The Rao Family’s ownership of Rovers. I firmly believe that they will sell eventually. Ultimately though they own the club and can do with it whatever they like. As a collective, and I believe this is the message @glen9mullan’s coalition is trying to get across, we need to all get behind the common goal of progression for the club & team and the sale of the club to owners who care.
  23. Hoping for another positive result today for the fans that are travelling up! COYB 🌹 Another season with so much potential WASTED by the chaotic mess behind the scenes at our club. There needs to be a common goal of demanding better for the team & the club. Enough is enough. The goal being The Rao Family selling up, progression on the pitch by finally achieving a Top 6 Championship finish and ultimately, with a bit of luck, promotion back to the Premier League under present, passionate & communicative owners who put the best interests of the club and the community it is part of FIRST!
  24. He is exactly that but I do believe he is “educated” to what’s gone on but continues to support the team at Ewood regardless. I have 2 good friends who are exactly the same, it’s infuriating at times but they support the team in their own way. That is completely ok and we have to support individuals following the club in whatever way they choose to do so. Anything else leaves us divided which is exactly what the goons running the club would want. There needs to be a common goal of demanding better for the team & the club. The goal being Venky’s selling up, progression on the pitch by finally achieving a Top 6 Championship finish and ultimately, promotion to the Premier League under present and passionate owners who put the best interests of the club and community it is part of first.
