  1. This is a must win game for us. We have to beat Newcastle at home. I really can't stand Newcastle and their 'big club' ideas. 3-1 win for us. Nonda, McCarthy and Bentley for us, Martins for the barcodes.
  2. "Hob Nob Anyone?" 'Oh, said an actor to a bishop!"
  3. Does anyone have any links to the goals from yesterday's game on youtube or anything? I'd really like to see Nonda's goal and decide if it was pure skill or just good fortune.
  4. Benni and Nonda scoring in the same? I am good! Just what Nonda needed, hopefully more will follow.
  5. We have to win this one. Fulham is the type of team that we need to be taking three points off at home. I think we'll win this one 3-1. McCarthy to get two and Nonda to bag another.
  6. You could understand the attraction of going to a big club like Liverpool or Chelsea (even though it means that he'll never play), however moving to either of these clubs, especially Newcastle would be gut wrenching. They are easily one of the worst teams in the league and would be a huge step backwards.
  7. My thoughts exactly. Yeah, he could go to Liverpool but he will just warm the bench like Craig Felony.
  8. That was a great result the other night and it's a huge step for the club to qualify for the knock out stages. We will need to strengthen the squad in January so we can cope with the demands of the Premiership and the Uefa Cup. Well done boys!
  9. I'm not too fussed about getting another central defender in. If Gomaa comes, then great, but I'd much rather see the left back position sured up and the addition of a creative midfielder. I wouldn't say no to a striker, because the likes of Nonda and Jeffers have struggled to make an impact, although I think Nonda could be a consistent goal scorer for us. He is getting the chances and sooner or later he will score one or two of them and he'll be off. The injury to Roberts has weakened our options, but I'd like to see Derbyshire and Gallagher getting a few more games. I know of Okkas and he could be a decent signing, if he impresses on trial and comes at the right price.
  10. Tugay's goal was unreal, that will be hard to beat for goal of the season. I didn't see the penalty decisions that were and were not given or the red cards. But from what I've read, Tugay's was a penalty but didn't deserve to be sent off, Mido should have been penalised for handling the ball and Spurs seem extremely upset with Ghaly's red card. I'm still disappointed that we didn't win and the goals from our forwards seem to have dried up.
  11. David Beckham playing for Blackburn, eh yeah! He'd certainly add more depth to the midfield, which we are sorely lacking at the moment. He'd certainly be good enough to play for us, we'd be a better team with him, but I don't see it happening.
  12. The only reasons that I would consider improving the Riverside stand would be for the overall look of the ground. If the stands were the same all the way around it would look awesome. Also, if there was legitimate demand for tickets and as such we would need to expand the ground. But because we don't even fill Ewood at the minute, it would be a complete waste of money.
  13. One of our best buys ever and for absolute peanuts when you think about it. He's one of the best passers of a ball that I have ever seen and he's a crucial member of the Rovers team. We didn't think he'd be playing as much as he has been, but injuries to other players has meant that he has and he's doing a fine job.
  14. Great result, but it sounds like there were some poor performances. With Savage out injuried, it's obvious now why so many people were calling for midfield reinforcements during the transfer window. We must be confident of qualifing for the next round now.
  15. We've faltered in our last two league games and we need to win this, to get back in shape. We are at home in Europe for the first time for a couple of seasons (apart from the Salzburg game), so we should really go out and attack them, win and give ourselves a great chance of qualifing for the next round. Rovers: 2 : McCarthy x 2 Basle: 1 : Petric
  16. West Ham have been really struggling since the Argentines have arrived. Tevez has failed to score, Mascherano hasn't performed to the levels which he can and the team in general has been an absolute shambles. So que a performance of the season from the Hammers, Tevez to score his first goal and Mascherano to have an absolute blinder! On current form we should be confident of winning. I'd really like to win at West Ham, as I don't like them very much, because they have a very high opinion of themselves. We have to make up for the three points that we lost on Sunday. Savage will be missed because he has been outstanding this season. Rovers: 2 (Benni, Nonda) West Ham: 0
  17. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. Poland is apparently the most racist country in Europe. I hope Uefa do something, but it could difficult, as it could be difficult to prove.
  18. I really hope we win this one, as I can't stand Bolton and El-Hadj Diouf. We are playing well at the moment , as are Bolton and it will be a tight game. We have struggled at home against Bolton, so it's about time that we put in a good performance against them and win. Rovers 2 : McCarthy, Nonda Bolton 1 : Nolan
  19. Does anyone know if the goals have been put onto youtube? I had a look yesterday, but no sign.
  20. Great start, just what we needed! We are far from qualified, but this result could be key to or success. Well done!
  21. The thing that Lucas seems to be overlooking is that just because you are going to a big club doesn't mean that you are going to a good club; prime example being Newcastle.
  22. I hope Reidy gets well soon, as he is one of our key players. We will certainly need to bring in someone to replace him.
  23. I'd certainly take the likes of Given, Emre and Duff off their hands! IMO Shay Given is probably the best keeper in the Premiership. Duff or Emre would prove to be far more effective than Pedersen is at the moment. The only thing that Neill could achieve at Newcastle is the change of scenery that he wants. Apart from that he isn't going to a club which is going anywhere, they won't finish ahead of us or qualify for Europe, so why bother? They wouldn't fulfill any of his ambitions.
  24. Dunn was good when he wasn't fat or injuried, so that wasn't very often. He hasn't done anything for Birmingham in the Championship to deserve a move back to the Premiership. Talent wise there is no comparison, effort, attitude, consistency and fitness wise, Savage comes out on top every time. Bentley and Gallagher could play there at a push, but I wouldn't expect us to win too many games.
