The investigation started in 2021, funnily enough that's when the extreme penny pinching started to come into effect. I wouldn't expect the government to start picking a fight they wouldn't win. The impression I got from reading the court documents was that the ED were vehemently opposed to allow venkys to send money overseas.

The court date is scheduled bit could easily be postponed. A lot of them have been already. If they say they don't need to send over money they may risk the court refusing their requests in future. The ED are very strongly against allowing them to send the money over and have said that the investigation is only in the very early stages.

Wouldn't that be a foul throw then? Throw in to the other side?

What happened to the big crackdown on all of that? Or was it just the usual bluster from the referees?

I see there has been no announcement that someone has been fired over this. The silence from the club is deafening.

JDT inherited a squad that finished 8th. That squad then had some key players leave, particularly in midfield. He then had a major transfer sabotaged mid season. He managed to get us to 7th only missing out on goal difference. That weakened squad was then weakened even further before the start of the new season. January came and our captain was loaned out and our best player sold and yet another big transfer was sabotaged. And John Eustace has now inherited whatever remains from that.

Sometimes you are in a position where that's not as important as just getting the fuck out.

Problem is we have a team full of soft bastards. Never ever seen any Rovers team be bullied as easily as this one. They are pathetic. But whatever you do don't boo them. They'll all be having a cry about it afterwards. Soft bastards.

Impossible to judge him after one game when he's only had a couple of days with the squad. He was highly regarded before he came here so I have some faith he can sort things out.

Well the new manager bounce didn't last long. Up next is Nob End. A team many of us never even gave a second thought about until the Raos and Desais darkened our door. Hopefully Eustace can get a more cohesive performance out of the lads and we pick up the three points. He's got his work cut out for him as our squad is really quite pitiful. Venkys out. And about 75% of Stanley's crowds are because of venkys ownership of rovers.
