  1. They were still 4000 short of where they should have been.
  2. I think he's made a very premature decision to go there. He'd have probably been in the first 11 here by now if he'd have stayed and having a solid season or two under his belt would have seen him in line for actual big money moves. No doubt his agent would have been one of the driving forces behind this move, in his ear about how rosy and green it will be at the biggest small time club in the world. I'm sure he'll have picked up a nice fat commission on that deal that he wouldn't have got had Phillips stayed at Rovers. Anyway fuck him, spurs are a shit club.
  3. The thing that stings the most about Wharton leaving is that they couldn't wait to get him out the door. Palace didn't steal him, he was given to them for practically nothing.
  4. He was a world class player though and did a good job for us. Steve Kean is as low as you can go in terms of a human being. An absolute piece of shit.
  5. Sad to read that SC but an excellent eulogy. It's an inevitable fact of life that we'll lose those who are closest to us but the cold hard truth of this doesn't make the loss any easier to take. All we can do is look back at the fond memories of our loved ones and make the most of the time we have with each other.
  6. That's a fair point, he's certainly only ever been given a sniff of number 1 because he's Wayne Rooney.
  7. And they'd downed tools for the month and a half prior to that as well.
  8. Well if Kompany leaves hopefully they'll appoint steve kean. Perfect fit for them, premier league experience, cheap and he's a total cunt. Match made in a cesspit.
  9. Hiding in plain sight 😂
  10. I take it he didn't mention the loan taken out with Crossbarron secured against the training ground?
  11. To be fair to Rooney he's actually tried to earn his stripes with smaller clubs down the league not just taken on a massive top division job he doesn't deserve. He's a big name in the game so that does give him a leg up and allowed to start higher than most mind, but he's not totally embarrassed himself the way fat frank or saint Vincent has and he hasn't taken the easy blood money like that smeg Gerrard. I thought he did alright at Derby given the circumstances but he's not done much since.
  12. Just something about it. Colour me suspicious.
  13. We're more likely to end up signing much worse.
  14. Is it me or does this all seem a bit fishy?
  15. I'd be a better signing than John Fleck. No big juicy commission for swag of I signed though.
  16. Wouldn't happen in England, whiter than white over here.
  17. FFP is a total have. There are ways they could have got around it to put money into the club and they didn't do anything. And for the 66393651573662993003rd time, stadium maintenance is not subject to FFP restrictions. Not having a do at you BTW Miller, it's just the lies and deception from the owners and their boot licking henchmen I'm sick of.
  18. There's no need to be an expert, this stuff is the absolute basics of running a commercial business and just som basic human decency. I find this £10 penalty fee to be absolutely disgusting and exploitative. It's a new low even at this club.
  19. That's highly unlikely to ever happen though unfortunately hence administration is the only way I can see out of it. As for the people who may lose their jobs, what about the numerous people that have already lost their jobs? What about the hugely detrimental effect venkys have had on the town as a whole? We were averaging 25,000 people going to Ewood before this cancer metastasized all throughout this club. We're now down to an average of 14,000. What about the businesses that were reliant on having the foot traffic of those extra 11,000 people?
  20. Football is absolutely gash nowadays and it seems as though anyone who has even glanced at a bunch of lads having a kickabout on the local park is overqualified for a management role at a football club. Vincent Kompany is reported to be signing as the F.C Bayern manager after he spent 130 million and accumulated 24 points finishing second bottom and never getting out of the bottom three. If that doesn't show you how fucked the game is I don't know what will. King Kenny didn't need a 'sporting structure', neither did Ferguson, Wenger or Mourhino.
  21. More likely he's had a very dumbed down summary read to him by shadow man as he tucks him into bed at night.
  22. Would you even be surprised?
  23. Unfortunately that's the only thing I can see that will bring any kind of positive change. The only way I can see out of this is through administration.
