To be fair to Rooney he's actually tried to earn his stripes with smaller clubs down the league not just taken on a massive top division job he doesn't deserve. He's a big name in the game so that does give him a leg up and allowed to start higher than most mind, but he's not totally embarrassed himself the way fat frank or saint Vincent has and he hasn't taken the easy blood money like that smeg Gerrard. FFP is a total have. There are ways they could have got around it to put money into the club and they didn't do anything.
