Yes all very convenient that this year our recruitment problems are down to the guy who's just left. Because we've never had long drawn out transfers that have fallen through at the last minute prior to his arrival. Who was at fault the last couple of years? Broughton? JDT? Last season was shit but this season has been fantastic. No point dwelling on his bad spell, the whole atmosphere was completely toxic after yet another January transfer sabotage and JDT publicly calling out Suhail and the owners before swiftly being exited from the building. Not at all. He'd been lied to repeatedly. He'd not been given any long term assurance. He'd made very specific requests for improvement to the squad, not too much to ask given we've brought in 40 million over the last 12 months. Said requests were met with nothing. Even at the 11th hour he gave them a chance to show some ambition and long term planning and was told to get fucked. I'm amazed he lasted as long as he did.
