  1. Yes then he'd have come out with some insulting bullshit belittling the club and fans. One poster on here a couple of weeks ago nailed it I think. Mowbray lets the players rule the roost so when times are good and confidence is high the team will do well. We saw that last season. However, when things start to go wrong he doesn't know what the fuck to do and therefore it leads to his famous death spirals. This is why he failed to prevent relegation to league one. This is why he failed to even get us into the playoffs. There is a lot more belief and positivity at Sunderland. They've just come up, had a good start and most importantly, haven't had venkys come and rip the place apart. We'll see how good he is next season when the buzz runs out and the players start to look for some sort of leadership from him. Also they don't have anywhere near as many derby games as us and we all know how Mowbray used to love bottling it when they came around. When he left we had fuck all of a squad left. JDT has done a good job with what he's been given and has shown more respect to this club in five minutes than that dick head did in five years.
  2. The Kinks - End Of The Season
  3. What point do the seats come available for existing st holders?
  4. He'd see it as the highest point of his life.
  5. Good luck to him. Its a shame he went awol for the last six months though. People are well within their right to be pissed off about that.
  6. Bollocks to that. The ball should have been nowhere near our goal at that stage of the game. Then we did the same thing the week after. Unbelievable. Next season we need to put these shit teams to the sword.
  7. This club is a rotting carcass of what it once was. Maggott and co are merely scavengers feeding off the scraps.
  8. I'd say its a U for the backroom but a B- for the playing side. Played some good games and ground out some results but threw far too many games away with not turning up. D overall. If it was C then we'd be in the play-offs.
  9. How can you be so optimistic about the season ticket sales?
  10. I have fond memories of smashing west ham 7-1. That was a game to remember. Beating them on penalties in the league cup? Big deal. How anyone could have enjoyed the previous decade is beyond me. 12 years of total failure. Obviously I hope JDT stays on and is backed. Unfortunately I can't see either of those things happening.
  11. Numerous performances where we just couldn't be arsed. Came from behind to win how many times? Senior management sabotaging the transfers, either deliberately or just sheer incompetence. The dingles win the league at Ewood. Sunderland, managed by a dolloper who couldn't even manage a playoff finish despite being 2nd in February when he was here, beat us to 6th. You see this as progress? Jesus wept.
  12. Another season of total failure. Two main contributing factors are our high number of gutless, unacceptable performances and Maggot and co sabotaging the transfer of much needed players.
  13. Can't see JDT staying at the moment. What happened in January has made his position untenable. He'll have the feelers out big time.
  14. Why? The senior management at the club sabotaged the whole season in January. People will know that outside of our fanbase.
  15. What a piss poor end to the season. Preston really is a pathetic excuse of a town and football club.
  16. Sometimes I wonder if it would be.
  17. A fan owned club at the heart of the community. We wouldn't want to end up like that though would we?
  18. Spot on. A combination of Brereton-Diaz mania along with the Premier League retrospective videos that came out not long ago have put us back on the radar for a lot of people. Also for the younger fans that missed the 90s, to look through the winners of the prem and see us on there makes for interesting viewing. Given that there hasn't been a single team to win the premier league without spending big money, the fact our win was funded by a local fan who made his money in the town makes it the ultimate fairytale. Not one other team has experienced that.
  19. Never bood Shearer, still can't get my head around that. Beckham can fuck off though. The most overrated player I have ever seen.
  20. The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice
  21. I think that with the Premier League being 30 years old and us still being the only town team to win it, there has been more interest in the club. We get picked for sky because they think that we'll draw good viewing figures. Despite what those within the club would have you believe, we're one of the biggest clubs in this division. And anyone saying we should feel lucky to be in this division and all that bollocks can fuck off and go and support Fleetwood or something. Never heard such disrespectful bullshit in my life.
  22. Don't be so delusional. Turn down Chelsea or Spurs to spend the next five years at t' turd? What is it with these Dingles always thinking they're a massive club?
