  1. I don't necessarily blame Dennis. Rusty doesn't even come close, he's just not played any football. To spunk the amount of money we did on his wages is pure bad planning and panic. He was never going to do what was required.
  2. I can't remember who said it recently in this thread but the fact that for 80-90% of the league the new season is a lottery scares me. This time next year we could be anywhere from 8th to 24th, and I wouldn't want to put any money on it. Today was a huge ask, and we fell short. The dreadful form at the start of the year was and is unforgivable. We didn't play especially well, but SU are a far better team who were playing without pressure. It would have needed one of the performances of the season to get a result, but I suppose that's what should be expected in these circumstances. Onto next season. For fucks sake.
  3. He's far too good for Newcastle. They're also the sporting arm of a horrendous regime so I would hate it if he went there. Liverpool, Madrid, City.
  4. Someone who might have been Dolans agent might have been in the ground. I expect him to sign imminently.
  5. "We, the board and senior management of BRFC feel it's time to be open and honest with supports in order to build trust. We don't care about the football club. We have been and will continue to run the club in the cheapest way possible. Eustace left because he hated working here, as did JDT. Ismail was cheap. We'll renew player contracts if we can weasel them into agreeing terms that are below market value. The fans don't matter to us, in fact, they're an irritant. If we could run the club without their income, we would. We have no aspirations of building or growing the club, in any way, whatsoever." Happy?
  6. This one goes out to all the chumps who still think time is linear. It's a loop, see you all again in a few months folks.
  7. If Aynsley Pears gets a contract for 40 grand a week to sit on United's bench and be a domestic box tick I think we can call time on the game as a whole.
  8. Are you ok? Spurs are 14th, they buy poorly, they have appointed a manager who has created a rift with the players and they are serial losers. Stop being a contrarian. I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts if a Rovers manager turned round and gave some to the BBE. Bet you'd be understanding then, wouldn't you?
  9. Good. I want to see 50 feet flames. There's nothing to play for.
  10. Other than the above I think we've got a fighting chance.
  11. We are the only club where mediocrity is not only rewarded but targeted. I won't accept anyone saying otherwise. Our directors are rewarded not for sporting performance but cost cutting. We are an exercise in racing to the bottom with a football team tagged on. If they could halt football operations at the club you can bet your bottom fucking dollar they would.
  12. This guy is fucking honking. Absolutely decimated months of work in mere weeks. At least he's efficient.
  13. I hadn't considered this before and I am convinced it is true.
  14. Two things can be true. He's been the best by a long, long margin.
  15. The way that some fans have chosen to turn against one of our most gifted managers in many years instead of face just how untenable they made his position is frightening.
  16. We've just lost against 3 of the worst teams in the league while Bristol and Cov are flying. We need to win at least 5 of our remaining 8 games and hope the two above (and likely one or two others) do worse than that. You're kidding yourself.
  17. You're going to need to accept that he was fired and people hold it against him.
  18. You can be utterly insufferable at times. Criticism of current staff isn't allowed. Once that P45 is delivered they're fair game.
  19. Take your rovers specs off and you'll see they're far more fashionable than we have been for a decade at least.
  20. Considering form, availability and overall quality the transfers this season have been very poor, overall. Strikers that don't score, wide forwards that are injured/haven't played in 2 YEARS, a veteran midfielder deemed surplus to requirements by bottom of the league and a defender who couldn't get a game in the league below. Defend the above and your standards aren't high enough. It's simple.
  21. It's really not in this case. He has the security of 3.5 years and knowing he'll get a huge payoff if we fire him. Which we won't, because of the huge payoff. Absolutely done ourselves.
  22. Chaddy for the love of god. Rf99 has said multiple times that yes the manager should have final say but sometimes they get it wrong.
  23. Curious where you think we're lacking
