  1. Probably in the top 7 in terms of wealthiest but the flip side is many clubs ownership wealth is between the 100/300 million mark which makes a mockery of the constant cry of needing billionaires just to keep modern day Blackburn Rovers in business. Run the club properly, get the fans back onside and the town behind the club again and you do not need Billionaires nor do you need to lose more than 20 million every year. They are either the stupidest pig ignorant dozy people on the planet or they are the cleverest pulling the illusion of a lifetime.
  2. Personally i don't think there were ever going to be offered anything although they did feature on the retained list but were still under contract at that point. At best it would be the same terms and that's fair enough but going off whats happened in the past they were probably offered less however the main point here is Eustace got those guys in. He played them and Rovers wouldn't even sign Batth the year before pulling the plug at the last min. So both guys have their loyalty to Eustace not the people who run Blackburn Rovers and that is understandable although hard to swallow.
  3. Interesting atmosphere awaits from a no doubt meagre crowd not helped by Cat A or A+ prices.... Eustace boo hiss you snake... Weiman you #anker boo.. Batth boo you greedy tosser... Dolan.. silence.. he was shit anyway. (Apparently)
  4. Derby and our ex head coach and players are going to ruin our 150th aren't they, you just know it !
  5. Well i think the aim this season will be to develop Carter into a saleable asset whilst Hyam sees out his contract and walks for nothing. Back to square 1 next summer.
  6. And Carter might finally form a decent partnership with Hyam. And he might not.
  7. They aren't at a point where they are bothered about value to themselves they are at the point of cutting costs back to a level that will not sustain Championship football but will be inline with what they are able/want to put in. Like say sub 10 million a season and more like 5 mill which will cost them nearer 10. So they are still getting rid of some money, still doing whatever it is they do with the club but just with a lower cost lower profile model. It might not be the owners themselves wanting this but it would certainly appeal to the finance handlers and it seems they are the ones running Rovers now and they won't give a toss which division we are in.
  8. Kaminski has gone for a million but Charlton are paying him big as far as i can deduce from the many comments on it. Rovers imo think they'll get around 2 million for Travis so won't commit to more than that in a bid for any midfielder who'll also have to come in on lower wages. Gestede's exciting summer is akin to someone being told Blackpool is the Las Palmas of the North only to arrive and find it's Β£7 for an ice cream, Β£8 for a pint, fish and chips is Β£20 and it rains all week on the turd ridden beach. Harsh reality Rudy when you turn up with only a taxi fare in your pocket.
  9. 'We tried'.... Can't compete with Oxford though and their massive crowds and we've only sold 30 million quids worth of players.
  10. Nothing would surprise me with what they do and don't pay but i think that above estimates are just crazy guesswork in a lot of cases. If not we are seriously being run by some agents again who must have the directors in their pockets.
  11. Depending on how Ismael intends to set up he could be replaced by a quicker more direct guy who equally struggles for end product, does half the graft and is way less robust. I trust the Dolan critics already have a Kargbo chant lined up to show their approval...😜
  12. There's bound to be a price rise for match by match buyers i think they've been static for a while certainly in the JW upper. Waggot i think sneaked around it sliding in more cat A's and after he'd pledged all night games would be cat B. Wouldn't be surprised if the centre upper section becomes a target again to offset reducing the riverside ST early bird etc.
  13. Well i think they have been way over 20 million on a number of occasions but not for a long time.
  14. These things often are complex watch any documentary or speak to any agent or player there is no need to creative a narrative. I did also say it could quite simply be only Derby have made him a serious offer - which includes Rovers not doing so - and he fancies it. So ambition doesn't come into it if there is no choice to be made and it's a case of a wage and a job, not just choosing the biggest paycheck as is your narrative. Anyway he'll probably sign somewhere completely left field if you read comments on X every other club in the Championship seems to think they are in for him.
  15. It never will unless you consider other views than your own might have some legs.
  16. They have no problem 'tying down' cheap incoming signings on 3 year contracts though. Just wait till some of those lads have been a success at Championship level and expect a pay rise though.
  17. He wants to leave Rovers they haven't even had talks or offered him anything since 2023 so it obviously is part of the equation and money at that side of it is obviously an issue. If Rovers suddenly offered him 20 grand a week he might instantly sign but that isn't happening and right now Derby might be the only real offer on the table so referencing 'money over ambition' all the time doesn't really come into it.
  18. Maybe there has been but at the end of the day if hes gone there for talks and been convinced by a manager he knows well and who knows him he might just feel that's the best place to take the next step. If Dolan is located in South Manchester/Cheshire he won't even need to move or not far at least as opposed to rumoured offers from Glasgow where a player like him could sink pretty quickly. Possibly Derby are his ONLY real serious option at this stage and the money isn't actually much more but it's easy to see why it's a better punt than Rovers right now.
  19. Dolan was in the first team on Β£300 quid a week and i'd stake my house on he ain't on more than 3500k now and was offered nothing resembling a wage he can get elsewhere 2 years ago. Complete fantasy stuff that he'd turn down a big pay rise in order to sit out his contract FOR TWO YEARS, absolute nonsense. Fact is Rovers WILL NOT pay their academy grads a jump from small to big money the examples now are there for all to see. Good luck to him he might double his pay at Derby but still won't be on big money because they don't have it. However remember these players have seen the inside of Rovers they have dealt with the people there, they know what gets said inside the club and we don't. Where do you think Derby intend to try and head in the next few years as opposed to Rovers ? Again the evidence is rather obvious.
  20. Kaminski had issues with the new style of play as did the whole back line but that seems to have been erased from memory all of a sudden. Clearly affected him and led to some howlers but he still only lost his place through injury.
  21. Or also hypothetically if some who were involved in the sale process and running of the club from the very beginning managed to wangle a clause they're entitled to X amount should the club be sold on....
  22. Obviously settled down South so won't have to move far if at all. Unlike the ambitionless Venky Rovers Charlton might fancy trying to do a Luton or an Ipswich.
  23. I think the Best deal alone cost the club about 10 million, chuck in the rest and that's another 20 million and there's way more than that lot. So it should not surprise anyone if the club is still paying off some of that dross.
  24. Seems the remit was buy a development player for a few hundred grand every window and just pray they click sooner or later. I assume there'll be add ons if he started kicking a ball for us regularly but they've realised pretty soon he's miles off it so have punted him out again. Very much looks like he was just another box ticking signing.
