  1. Well I was giving myself some wiggle room with five years. But I believe it could quickly unravels and the catalyst for that would be JDT walking. Not that I advocate for violence , but there's so many characters I would like to KTFO. Fat Barry better pack his dinner along with his iron bar cos he'll need it by the time I'm done.
  2. Applying pressure to venkys, that's just not possible. They don't give a shit mate. They're safely ensconced in India, they're bomb proof. Never mind promotion, I think relegation is inevitable in five years. It's a soul destroying experience, we're slowly having the tape turned off
  3. "we will absolutely respect the jack walker legacy" Christ almighty, what would they do if they decided to disrespect it?
  4. I'm not saying you're definitely wrong, it's difficult to know with these people. I wouldn't put anything past them. But they've owned us for thirteen years, hundreds of millions have been pissed up the wall, they've only very rarely actually turned up on site... and now they want tighter control of the finances. Even by their prickish standards of numbskullery, that is beyond the pale. I see that Broughton had said that the owners do not want to sell the club, which is different from will not sell the club perhaps. The question for me is why don't they want to sell the club. Why. Wankers. Get out of my club you wasters
  5. I'm going to spend the rest of the day on a wishful thinking daydream. And if I get any comments that "oh, it's just an admin change, they'll be here for another seventy thousand years at least, get used to it, they'll be a titty statue to fat Barry soon, it's all for the best" I shall send a crack ninja squad of leprechauns to shit up your nose while you sleep. If this is the end game for their misbegotten shitshow disastrofuck clown factory confusionfest ownership, then it's going to be party central. It'll be like the ewok rave up at the end of return of the jedi, but with jellies temazepam ketamine amphetamines and those soft chewy Refreshers that you can only seem to get online. I don't even want to think that this is just business as usual, my poor heart just can't take that. Let's face it, they're up the shit. Otherwise why all the recent drama. So yeah, here's a pineapple fat baz. Fucking ram it yer bloody wasteman
  6. Where do you think msp got it from? https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/1122
  7. Spanish civil war propaganda If you tolerate this (bombing) then your children will be next
  8. They've been norty boys before. They got done for that development without permission. When day made you rich, you can pay the annoying govt man to go away sometimes. This does smell different. The funding is tailing off and has been for a while. The manager is tampy. The club statement does not reassure in any way. I don't get the feeling this is a short term blip, it feels more like the beginning of the end. If it is, will the club fold
  9. It tends to be the sides heading for a fall that get mugged, in recollection. Who can forget getting done one nil by Crewe after thing then a total lashing. Plucky losers are still losers. Having said that, we did turn over Watford the previous week. But even so, I think we've actually got weaker. Guess it's early days, we shall see, but we appear to be getting run into the ground. You keep on trimming, you end up with nothing
  10. But why do they want to leave it to their children then? I don't think the owners are all on the same page as it seems like a push me pull me thing going on. If they really wanted us they'd run us better. Yet they won't get rid of us even though we're a net negative for them. We're not going anywhere until they go, that much is clear to me. I'm sorry for those who travelled a long way to see us pumped by Plymouth, I hope you get back safe. Win lose or draw, it all leaves me emotionally flat these days. It seems like a bum deal to get emotionally involved in something that's at the whim of morons who don't care. They've run the club in such a shambolic manner for so long now, it's chipped away at the joy I had following rovers through the good times and bad. It's been one abject humiliation for which I will never forgive.
  11. Yer man from Humberside is going down bakerloo, but pears has got a ticket for the jubilee
  12. Yeah that was when Jack walker was beginning to put in a little bit of money to help us I think. Ossie didn't wear shins, and market absolutely banged him one and broke his leg. I remember watching Saint and gravel and greaveie and dear old Jimmy had a dig at rovers. Something about petitossie being able to buy the club. I remember Steve scoring against villa and we beat them 3-2. Their were great great days. For a start I was so much younger. But yeah, things were so much better than now I would go so far as to say that the last thirteen years are the worst I've ever known things as a rovers fan. And my first game would've been in the early seventies
  13. Leeds. I'm off sick from work at the mo and my typing has gone. Think Bremner was their manager at the time
  14. And the Don cared. We were all in it together and they were great days. It's hope and togetherness that makes football. When was the last time we had that. It was Bobby who signed sellars though. £25l if I remember rightly. Why leeds let him go I'll never know. There's a YouTube clip of him scoring a belter for Leeds, I'll find it in a mo. Played u21 for England once getting subbed on for gazza https://youtu.be/nOMV84V-cmo
  15. He's an unrecognisable decorator now! The papers love saying unrecognisable. I think it's up there in the top ten of the clockwork index along with heartbroken, reality and Meghan. I'd recognise him anywhere 😂
  16. Does this telly count? Don't think it came with a remote controller, but other than that, looks fairly decent.
  17. Who else have we had from Plymouth over the years? Can't think of anyone. By the way , having read that Morrison book, Tommy Tynan sounds like an aggro merchant. Never saw him play but he always seemed to score against us
  18. Yeah, we could do with him right now
  19. I remember reading Andy Morrison's book, that was a good read, especially what he used to get up to in Plymouth. He's a good lad who's been through some very tough times. Wish he'd had more of a chance at Rovers. They do seem incredibly touchy, no idea why. I think Jon Dahl has possibly just not expressed himself very well, no big issue. Bit more worried that we seem to have signed someone whose pedigree doesn't seem that impressive, but let's give the fellow a chance.
  20. Good read this https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2023/jul/01/football-clubs-communities-fans-owners One part stood out "nobody should believe private equity or a state will have any compunction about abandoning a club once it has served its usefulness." Just trying to imagine how we're useful to venkys boggles the mind. How can we stop being useful to venkys so that they kindly fuck off
  21. Yep, he left this club in a far better state than he found it. But yeah. Pogba .
