  1. What sort of chances ? Half chances like the one Ohashi had at West Brom ? How many chances have we missed this season where you could honestly say - “ That was a sitter, I could have scored there “ ? Hardly any. At the moment don’t make enough real chances, that is unarguable.
  2. We’re under a fee and wage restriction.
  3. I’m not sure the chicken chokers are overly concerned about us being relegated again. They’re probably thinking - “ Last time it was no big deal, they got back again “.
  4. The Action - I’ll Keep Holding On
  5. Early cotton mill fodder working every hour god sent from the age of about 10. Then cannon fodder “ Lions led by donkeys “ in WW1 etc etc Standing by whilst our industrial base vanished in the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. I remember reading that in the late 19th century there was a pub or ale shop for every 12 people over drinking age in Blackburn. That speaks for itself.
  6. Like I said to Chaddy - it’s relying on the set piece delivery being right. If a pro footballer can’t take a corner we might as well all stay in our own half.
  7. The difference was WBA got the delivery right, we didn’t.
  8. I have my own theory why our support is so supine regarding the shit being dumped on us by the chicken chokers. It relates to “ Lancashire folk “ being used to being shat on over the centuries in many varied ways.
  9. You’re right on that point. We never seem to “ flood the box “. WBA scored their goal because they had plenty of players in our box and the ball fell to one of them.
  10. I alway thought Dolan would be more of a success than BBD because he’s willing to work harder. I know, it’s a low bar. Fans will accept some failings if they can see the player is giving his all.
  11. Clubs are no longer accepting “ magic beans “ as a currency.
  12. Yeah they can all - run a lot, pass it 20 yards, tackle a bit, head the ball a bit, etc. Can the they beat an opponent with the ball at their feet ? Can they be a “. difference maker “ like Berkovic or Bohinen or Warhurst ? All that is coached out of them before they’re 15.
  13. I’m not an Hedges fan but it’s pretty obvious that he’s better playing on his “ natural “ side ie the left hand side.

  15. For me - 6 is an average OK performance. 5 is poor. 4 is really poor. 3, you must be the second coming of Christian ‘ bloody “ Dailly. On the other hand - 7 is good. 8 is really good, 9 is brilliant and 10 is Bryan Douglas level. Dougie got 10 from the national newspapers quite often.
  16. As soon as I read that I knew we were in big trouble.
  17. We’d need to be signing a new team of 11 players to spend that much. £3 million a year.
  18. ‘I’d finished the football season feeling ok. I’d be about 30. Just before we started training again one of the guys at work decided to form a rugby league team. So I turned up just for the training. I’d not played rugby since school. I went on the wing because I was quick ( or so I thought ) . We’d been played about 10 minutes when my centre made a break, drew the cover, and gave me the ball. I thought - ” I’ll just burn this lot off now , a straight run to the try line” . Bloody hell, it felt like I was running in treacle, my legs started burning, the covering players caught me before I’d gone 25 to 30 yards ! That yard of pace I though I had and I relied on to get me out of trouble was gone forever.
  19. OK , if you say so pal. Good enough for Scotland though.
  20. That maybe your experience but it isn’t mine. Charlie Mulgrew ?
  21. I like things to be out in the open. We’ve had way too much stuff going on behind closed doors. Each to their own I suppose.
  22. You need eyes that see for that.
