He’ll move when he feels like it. The player holds all the cards in situations like this.

That’s right. How many first team games will he get at Arsenal do you think ? He’ll be loaned out to somebody either at our level or below.

No really good young player is going to stay at Rovers long term. Those days are long gone. If we couldn’t keep somebody like Adam Wharton we won’t be able to keep anyone.

The way I look at it is - if he’s good enough he’ll get in, if he isn’t he won’t. We can’t be playing somebody who isn’t ready just in case he might sod off to the Premiership at some unknown time in the future.

Why aren’t they then ? I remember Johnny Byrom scoring hat tricks in the old First Division at a similar age but the game has moved on a lot since then.

The first time I saw Wharton play I thought- wow, this kid is special. The first time I saw Tyjon play I thought - mm, he could turn out to be decent.

He doesn’t look to have the savvy to play there to me. Time will tell.

Not many 17 year old kids are physically ready for twice a week mens Championship football. The Wayne Rooney’s don’t come along often. From what I seen of the lad he’s quite slight in build.

I usually go for 1-1/2 hrs walk every night when I’m out there. I used go at 6-00pm. The Spaniards thought I was loco. They go either at 6.00 or 7.00 in the morning or after 9.00 at night. I think I’ll have to go a bit later this year as I’m getting older.
