  1. I agree but there’s no chance he’ll come here. He doesn’t need a job at the moment. There are other more desperate ex-managers out there that will throw their hat in the ring.
  2. It’s a bit of a change from the last time we played them in the cup. Are there any British players in that starting 11.
  3. That’s how I feel. It’s the likes of my grandson I feel sorry for. He’s just turned 18 and he’s as keen as I was at his age. He’s there today. All his ever known at the club is a torrent of shite.
  4. He’ll be too busy sorting out who our next manager should be.
  5. There isn’t a Blackburn Rovers anymore. It’s Venky Rovers for me.
  6. I was planning to watch today’s game out here in Spain. After the overnight news my heart isn’t in it.
  7. Forshaw and Buckley in midfield ? Sigh.
  8. It’s only a matter of time. I’d do the same if I wasn’t a fan.
  9. I just saw it on bbc news. Poor defending, the ball was in the air for a really long time.
  10. We blew our play off chances in the window. This Is our last big game for the season.
  11. Palace stepped in whilst the rest of the Premier League were dithering.
  12. Is he the same agent that ripped off John Fogerty ?
  13. I was just thinking how did we lose that game? We had enough chances to win two games.
  14. Your lad has to come first. I liked watching games but I loved playing. It’s hard to beat.
  15. Yeah, we’re back to conceding in the last quarter of the game and not having anything on the bench to get us back in the game. I’m on holiday at the moment so I didn’t see the game but I got a quick glimpse of their winning goal on the BBC news. Am I right in saying that the shooter had a free shot from the edge of our box ? That never happened when Tronstad was played, he was the policeman in that area.
  16. In our village in Spain they have an inter bars competition every Summer. It’s 7 a side on a roughly 3/4 full size. When I first went along to watch I was expecting a lot of play acting. I was really surprised that it was just like when I played. Blokes flying into tackles like their lives depended on it. Very little rolling around etc. The one lad who is an actor was on Granada’s books for a while. Maybe it’s what they learn when they join pro clubs.
  17. It’s as simple as that really. A thin squad running out of steam, picking up muscle injuries etc. What starts out as a reasonable bench ends up full of kids.
  18. The Action - Shadows And Reflections
  19. I hope it doesn’t take him as long to make an impression.
  20. You can never tell with back injuries. I speak from personal experience.
  21. But would Armstrong have fitted into the team ethos that Eustace has obviously developed. I know strikers have to be single minded but at times Armstrong took that mantra to extremes.
  22. Especially on the striking front. We should have gone all out as soon as we knew Ohashi had a medium term injury. That left us with Gueye who was slowly building up to playing 90 minutes, Weimann who is playing from memory and Leonard who seems never far away from a trip to the treatment table.
