  1. His sense of taste must be all in his mouth. Last time I saw him he was in central Manchester and he was walking with a stick. Great player though. One who could genuinely play in every position on the pitch snd look class.
  2. I think Atcheson definitely need to go on loan. He needs to get knocked about a bit and learn to get the knocking about in first. A bit of rough and tumble lower league stuff will do him the world of good.
  3. I think if Montgomery is going to make it as far as the first team is concerned it’ll be in midfield.
  4. But Beck could tackle. We don’t know with De Neve.
  5. That was my impression of De Neve also. He can run all day but we need more than that from a winger.
  6. What was Brook doing ? Getting stumped after 10 minutes ! He needed to play back to that ball, not going dancing down the wicket.
  7. They’ll be playing in blue and white halves next.
  8. The next time the kids are playing on the common facing my house I’ll have a word with the best one. They can be back up for him.
  9. I don’t know about where you live in Spain but in the bit we frequent all parking is free. The only time we pay for parking is at Almeria airport and it’s really cheap. Something like 1€ for 15 minutes. Same with traffic lights. In a 1-1/4 hr journey from the airport to the village we pass 1 set of traffic lights. They do like a double round about though. You have to have your wits about you then. Nobody seems to know the rules.
  10. Did you miss the - “ it’s early days yet “ bit. Or the “ pedigree “ bit ?
  11. It’s early days yet but if the next four are of the same pedigree as the first four colour me - un excited.
  12. Even as a young player he’d got that time on the ball and the ability to get his head up and see the full picture that tells you - this lad’s a good ‘un. He could be whatever he wants to be.
  13. Yeah, watching him play at right back tells me he’s more suited to the short passing, harrying game of a central midfield player. When he got into good crossing positions he didn’t trust himself to put a good ball in. He’d only be a stop gap/emergency right back for me. As you say - like Travis is/was.
  14. The writing off of the women’s team was a bit of a clue. Not renewing the contracts of key players. Setting the 10 k cap for new signings. Shall I go on ?
  15. He’s got the makings of a regular Premiership player if he steers clear of the usual pitfalls. You could see even in his time at Rovers he has the ingredients
  16. Thank God, and the post war Labour government, for the NHS.
  17. All those 3 requirements are going to cost serious money not magic beans. Unlrss they are all back ups like Forshaw and Sanderson was.
  18. Yes, I agree with that. He should been aiming higher in the championship. Wasn’t he linked with Sheff Utd at one point.
  19. Anybody who’s watched the last 3 women’s games can’t have failed to be excited. At least they play right to the end unlike the men’s team who once they go behindthere’s not much in the way of a come back.
  20. I’d say his career has plateaued at the moment but he’s still got youth on his side. I think he’ll have a decent career. Like a lad that used to be in our woodworking class - Craig Dawson.
  21. We’ll have to be at our absolute best to beat Spain. Selecting the best 11 to start will be crucial.
