It’s a blow because he was one of our few attacking strengths. He could put a good ball in without a doubt. It only struck home to me on Saturday when the kid playing in his place got into those attacking positions that Brittain got into and didn’t know what to do with the ball. He wasn’t the world’s best defender so that side of his game won’t be missed but our meagre goal threat has just got more meagre. Anybody know what the relegation odds are ?

Why is it 15 minutes in our football ? It used to be 10 minutes. Playing amateur football if the weather was bad we’d turn around and kick off again right away. Back then for a Saturday game I’d be leaving Ewood at 4-40 regularly. Now it’s 4-55 or 5-00.

That’s what Kargbo needs to learn. Always try and stop your opponent, then you’ve got him where you want him.

You wouldn’t see a batsman play a shot like that in amateur cricket never mind in a Test Match

He didn’t get the usual treatment for cramp. It looked to me like he over stretched and felt something go. It could be something and it could be nothing. He’s bound to be over cautious at this point in his return

You don’t need a scan to diagnose cramp.

I don’t think it was cramp. It happened right in front of where I was sat and he looked to have pulled/strained something trying to get the ball under control.

WTF was that shot Brook got out playing ?

He can run alright. On one occasion he must have sprinted 50 yards flat out to press one of the Accy players. Does he have a trick ? He’s not very big or physical. I get the feeling he’s cover for Kargbo.

His final ball was usually pass back into midfield.

I thought we’d signed a right back ? Regarding the lad who played there yesterday - he got forward a lot but nothing came of it. He got into several good crossing positions and passed the ball back into midfield or to the centre backs.

Ever since the chicken chokers first rocked up it’s “ been worrying “. Even the dogs in the street know that. I watched Montgomery in the first half and it struck me just how much we’re going to miss Brittain. He got into good crossing positions several times in the first half but the ball always came back into midfield. Hard to say what he’s like defensively because Accy didn’t get forward much.
