How do you think Simon Garner would have gone on playing upfront on his own with our “ service “ to him, surviving on one half chance per game ? Playing up front on your own is the hardest position on the pitch to play bar none. Without good service it’s an arse kicking job. I speak from a little bit of personal experience. I couldn’t get back to playing midfield quick enough.

Regarding Baath - Once you reach his age you can “ go “ at anytime. It can happen in the time from the end of one season to the beginning of the next.
